Is your PC's making weird noises when they restart? Are you getting a BSOD or is your hard drives squeeking a little bit when it restarts? What exactly does it do when it restarts.

um, the screen goes black, then, reboots. no noise or anything.

Like everyone else has said here, sounds like overheating. If you haven't already, clean it out. Sometimes dust will collect in your fans and it will render them useless. Dust also crammed against computer hardware never results well.

but why doesn't the comp reboot when i play diablo2? it only reboots in hl2, CoD (sometimes), and a MMORPG.

edit: it doesn't reboot while cpu temp is less than 40 C. when i play hl2, it goes up to 40 +
