Why do you americans hate communism?

Ok, the cold war and all, but why today or even during the cold war?

What would happen if I'd walked in the middle of New York with a communist T-shirt?

Very little seperates communism from socialism (besides dictators ). Anyways, us Americans use communism more as a joke than anything else.

Its not all americans, your using a big stereo type there, from what youve seen, most americans dont like communism, but you havent seen everything. Dont use rash huge stereo types like that.

Also, not all americans are fat and stupid, not all own 35 full ammo assault rifles, not all live in huge houses or trailors. I know thats what us Americans are stereotyped to be, but were not, you're just beleiving what you've seen on the media, but remember, the media doesnt show everything, you will see all the bad and none of the good!

true, it seems though, everyone has a price, so what keeps our checks and balances in our democracy from turning into a dictatorship, you'd merely have to pay off the right people and distract the public until it became normal to them, all the while rewriting their laws/constitutions while their backs are turned.. uh.... damn

There isn't and there never were a country which had communism,at least the real one, China today is the nearest to what communism is (remember, only near)! McFly have you ever lived under "communism" to say that, guess not!?

If communism worked like it was supposed to then it would be one of the best types of governments. However, since people are not perfect and never will be, it ends up being one of the worst types of governments.

What I find annoying is that all of your presidents refer to (American) democracy as a saviour of human race! In many ways they resemble our "dictators", on TITOs birthday we had to wear a yellow napkine like thingie with a rose in our hand, don't exactly know why!

I think some americans fear communism or at least what it represents: the perceived notion that it is everything that is the polar opposite of the american dream or american social conciousness ....probably explains why I'm so often called a "commie" by the uber patriots in our little community

Well, when you say all americans hate communism, you have to stop and think "Oh wait... a lage portion of America lived most of thier life in fear of an inevitable nuclear war". That sounds like a good reason to dislike it.

And there hasn't been a "true" communist country in the world, so unless you live in a utopia-experiment village, I find it hard to believe that you've lived under communism.


And I don't know, I'm greedy. I'd like to think in my mind that we should all share the work and take what we need, but hell, I like my PC. I sure as hell don't need it, but I like it. And I'm really not inclined to give it up for an ideal.

The landscape is really shitty and amazing, both! There are lots of hills (around 300-600m altitude) about 70%, we have some mountains and "flatlands" (is that a word)! Our cities are rather small most of us live in the suburbs! Laws are pretty shitty too, don't even think about having a gun without a licence which is very hard to obtain! I tought you wanted to know how are the girls around here, hehe! I really hate our girls, it's hard to get laid here!

Sidewinder, you could have a good PC back then, the problem is that they werent invented (you know what i mean)! I you'd be poor i think you would love it! I mean "Communism", the fals one!

Nothing shitty about not havin guns, i bet you have an ultra low crime rate, which is always good. Probably a crime rate like that of Japan.
