Those are rhethorical questions. The only real question here is whether learning history and science and literature is making me more marketable for the world of work. All the time wasted... Just imagine what a super programmer I'd be right now if I had spent all that time learning ONLY computer science. I wish school was like that. Not even college is like that, since half your classes would be core requirements.
And just IMAGINE how much UC Berkeley and MIT would love to hire you because you only know how to program. And how much Valve would LOVE to hire you because you got an online degree at the University of Phoenix.
Stay in school, earn your bachelor's degree. I can't stress this enough as to how important a degree is nowadays. People are looking for well-rounded individuals who are not only skilled but also knowledgable in other things. Plus, you can never be too sure if computer programming (or any one specific skill) is all you want to do in life.
