This whole situation is getting kind of rediculous.

I did not get mad when valve decided to delay HL2 the first time. Nor was I angry when the first/second preload date passed and nothing.

And now they seem to have missed the mark they have set themselves, AGAIN!

I'm not going to get stupid about more delays, but it does take the fun out of being a fan. I will definetly try and be one of the first to download and play HL2 regardless of all of this. The fact of the matter is, with each delay/fib I get less and less excited about this great game.

Valve, there needs to be some respect given to the gamers that support you.

Please, do not waste everyone's time on this forum and many others waiting for false information from you. It just leads to dissapointment and does nothing for HL2.

no the topic poster is correct. valve have ****ed up yet again. cpt stern are you so blind you would miss the point if it was inserted down your throat? its not the files that matter. its the fact that valve would theoretically MEET a said date for a release related to HL2, which is UNPRECEDENTED. until they do that, they could delay the game for a wholenother year

Yeah, I'll aggree to a certain extent that valve owes me nothing.

But that is not the point. You cannot not think of all the fans of HL2 as separate identities in this. You have to think of all the fans as a group and that group deserves the respect not to be lied to.

Valve are adults and thus far, have not been very mature on dealing with this.

We are doing this to obtain more respect from VALVe. why do you have to piss on our work? We are the fans but we want more respect. So please don't post like that.

It may not phase VALVe's plans but I (personaly) want them to understand how dissapointed I am in them. So again please.

no doubt its worth the wait. but valve doesn't let us just wait, they announce all these dates, so we are not waiting anymore, we are expecting them to deliver. it would be fine if valve just didn't give us dates and just made us wait flat out, but they don't. its not about waiting so much as it is opening a door for us to go through and closing it in our face.
