It's only a matter of opinion whether people think a mod is "stupid" or not. Some people might like the idea of the mod and those that are new to working on a mod will at the very least get a sense of their boundaries when working on a mod and what type of mod and team they should look out for. As long as they feel comfortable with the mod though and everyone is putting in the effort into their individual positions for the mod, everyone can be satisfied (except for those like you, who think the mod is stupid).
