It's kinda funny to read stuff from people who dont know what they are talking about :)

Maybe that extremely negative tone towards modding at the start is meant to be sarcasm? I can't really tell, but if he is actually serious then...may god have mercy on his soul.

I think he is pretty serious. I think he honestly beleives that modding does involve some sort of hacking.

I like how the first paragraph talks about Valve encouraging Hackers.

Because you know, Valve love hackers.

I wonder what it's like, having your head up your ass. :x
Valv3 bring$ in teh 1337 h4xx0rz to h4xx0r teh g4mez...

We Aussies have two special words that apply to a man like this.

The first is "Wanker", the second is "Dickhead".

Enough said.

I thought that was 3 words :O, oh wait there it is in my dictionary, carry on.

His second name is Hymen. He doesn't need any more Genitalia related nicknames.

I think you people are overreacting.

The article is clearly meant as a general introduction to the modding phenomenon, aimed at non-gamers.
Agreed, the author should have refrained from using the term "hackers" because of the negative connotations it has, but I don't think that's quite enough reason to start slinging insults.

i think he uses the term "hacker" on purpose, for the ever going fight against video games because they supposedly cause violence and stupidity, or at least thats what the news tries and tells the general public. "Hacker" is often a phrase looked down uppon people tech savvy people and well most people in general dont like hackers. so hes using the term to make it look bad. alot of un educated people's sub concious will see "hacker" in the article and thinks is a bad thing. and will turn them away from it.

Great merciful navel fluff, I hadn't noticed that! Now I feel kinda sorry for the guy...

Well, it's Hyman not Hymen, but close enough.

Well, he obviously got teased alot (A lot? Alot? Awwww, stuff it, lots) in school... perfect explanation for why he is what he is.
