holy unimpressed with the visuals batman! But bet' its fun with that controller!

I've got to say that the screens are really not impressive , if it wasn't for the smoke effect I wouldn't even know it's a next-gen game.

and no , i would get excited from promo shots of "players" holding the remote in different ways.

it's the wii version ..graphics are good enough cuz the gameplay looks like it'll be heck of a lot more fun than the other versions ..mediocre graphics I can live with

True. Plus if you can look as cools as those models while you are taking out hordes of evil Krauts then how can you go wrong?!

It looks good...I was thinking about getting the Wii (maybe after the price drops though)

ew, unimpressive. I think it simply wasn't designed for wii hardware. I truly do beleive the wii is capable of next-gen graphics, you just have to have the right tricks. I mean, consider Red Steel, it looks miles ahead of those screenshots.

I think that it looks just fine... nearly as good as Call of Duty 2 on the PC, I think. The other two versions make it look like garbage, but the Wii version reminds me quite a bit of Black but with better smoke effects, which is not a bad thing. The texture resolution is also much higher than anything you'd see on the XBox, if you'll look at it more closely.

Its definately not as good as COD2 on PC. And the texture resolution is awful. Although you did say Xbox, not Xbox 2, so if you really meant that then I suppose that the textures are better than the old Xbox could do.

Just for your reference, here is a screeny of COD2 on pc. The textures are much better than in the wii screens.

Although, im not a graphics freak and am still getting a Wii for the gameplay opportunities. Not getting COD3 though... im bored with COD.

Looks like the original COD. Eh, could be fun, but i still don;t see the Wii-mote being that good for FPS games. I'd rather have a lightgun attachment.

And the Wii is hardly next-gen hardware-wise. Next-gen gameplay = yes. Next-gen graphics = hell no.

It's a far cry from CoD2 on PC, but that's besides the point, what it all comes down to is the gameplay.

My thoughts exactly, but we'll see how the wii-mote handles this. Although if I were to get a Wii, I'd try to avoid games like CoD and go for more unique games.

Graphics aside...unless there's some sweet coop I probably won't buy it.

Those graphics are shit, but...

My god it must be awesome with that controller

I WANT IT!

CoD looks interesting on the wii.

tbh CoD2 bored the tits off me in single player - CoD3 on the 360 and pc looks to do the same. Lets see what the wii can bring to the table \o/

If you only have an analog TV then the Wii won't look all that bad compared to the PS3 and Xbox360 COD3 versions. The TV will blur the picture a bit. ;)
Digital TVs would be another story. But it looks like a lot of fun!

CoD2 PC was fairly deplorable, and I won't be getting a console, but I think messing about at a friend's place who has one would be good.

If that's seriously how you aim it, like hold your arms in that position to ADS, it should be pretty cool.

I think you guys are getting a little bit too excited over the Wii controls. It's essentially going to be an alternative to mouse and keyboard which we've had for years, though probably not as precise. While it may be a better/easier control method for FPS games than the other two consoles, it's not going to rock the boat too much.

The way I see it the PS3/360 are probably going to get the best versions of these types of multi-platform games. Not just because of the vastly superior graphics, but because the primary development team and bulk of the budget will be devoted to them as well.

The Wii controller still has a lot of potential for other types of games, but for FPS games it's essentially a very low end computer.

It's too bit early to tell - the wiimote could be superb for fps.

Looks like it'll be fun for an hour... then it'll just get annoying and boring.

Or it might be annoying at first, then you'd get used to it and have a little fun... then it'll get boring.

But, that's just my initial assumtpion.

I am not to sure about the graphics. If the graphics where as good as the
360's along with that controller the Wii would be AWESOME!

If only we could get a Wireless Controller for the PC version :|

If it does come out for the PC

Not a fan of COD or WW2 games myself. But I guess it looks ok for the hardware its running at. And the Wii can do good graphics, just look at Smash Bro's, Zelda...

omg... if my sister or non-gamer friends saw me doing that in front of the TV, they would make ridicule me for the rest of my life. I honestly hope you don't have to crouch down or look down the controller's make believe sights like that. Give me a crouch button and crosshairs so I can at least play in a relaxed way like you do at light gun arcade games and I'll be happy.

That's not the point of the Wii.

They don't have to go all out and make you actually crouch and stuff... it doesn't seem that fun. There should be different control setups, one for people who want to play a game with a different controller and one for people who want to really "get into" it and pretend they're a soldier.

I'm sure they'll do that to appeal to all gamers. But the mian attration to the Wii is the interactivity.

lol, I guess he is... it just looked to me like he was standing in front of it trying to make some kind of combat stance.

He's just a douchebag. The game doesn't know he's moving around like an idiot or holding the controller like a rifle. You seriously just point the thing at the screen and shoot people. It's like a 3D mouse.

Haha. And after that hugely impressive pre-rendered trailer... it's still on the CoD2 engine? xD

Or atleast it looks like it, even on the 360/PS3 versions. But oh well...

Only intuitive controls on Wii and a decent multiplayer/coop mode could make me wanna buy this for console. But then they're not making this one for PC, right?

They look pretty unimpressive. I dont think Ill be getting this even if I get the Wii.

Whoa. Check out the videos. Looking MUCH better in motion.

Not so much graphically, but just the huge amount of stuff going on at once... it actually looks like a warzone. Me likey, me likey alot :)

Pretty short, but you get the idea. ALSO! Looks like they actually kept something from the pre-rendered trailer - melee combat! Looks like it could be pretty nifty.

Oooh, and you can hold onto nades this time round, and the fuse goes down before you throw - now they'll actually be good for something. Now just the ability to throw nades back at enemies...

Definitely looking forward to this now! :D

From watching gameplay of Metroid and Red Steel, it seemed obvious the player was struggling with the controls. I don't think FPS's will control good on the Wii. I hope they offer many different control scheme options.

What they did in those cases was, rather than emulating mouse control (which players found disorienting), made it so that your view will turn when the reticule is pointed towards the edge of the screen. Like all new control systems, there is going to be some learning curve. Even though the Wii controller will allow for more accurate aiming than the current console controllers, it's dumb to think someone could master the game in ten minutes without having ever used the controller before. It took me days to get used to the analogue stick and mouse aiming after my days of Quake. :p
Thats very true. It's a whole new controller type, and will take some getting used to. It's hard to remember that far back, but even the mouse takes some getting used to. I'll wait and see what people think after getting used to it.

I still cant aim properly with those freakin things ...left to right, right to left till I finally target where I want it to be ..no where near as precise as a mouse

I have high hopes for the wii controller ..it may even inspire other consoles/pc to create something similiar

That's one of the main reasons I hate console FPSs. Mouse and keyboard are so much better and have been proven so by loads of videogame magazine editors in challenges against console controller fans. :E

Me too. I am terribly excited to see what it takes to get a truly great and intuitive control scheme going for FPSs with the Wii controller.

I also really want to see how RTSs will work with it--I imagine that it will be amazing!

Me thinks some people can't control their thumbs ;)

Bad workmen an all that.
