will my graphics card be good enough?

can someone tell me if my graphics card can live up to HL2 i have an ATI Radeon 9600 pro 128 mb

I have a geforce2 mx400 and i can play hl2. So yeah you can play hl2 with that radeon 9600 pro.

Yup. Play at 1024X768 with my 9600XT. I think I have 4X AF and 2X AA?
I only have 512 MB RAM so I turned textures to medium (suggested setting) but everything else was on high.

DUDE, i got a geforce4 MX 440 and a PIII700 with 384 SDRAM, so turn your freakin settings down, even i can play (with slowdown in some areas)

i'm playing with an FX5200 at 1280x1024 and it plays just fine on medium settings

i have a 9600XT and i play 1024x768, 4x AF and 4x AA, textures and all set to high quality. runs smooooooooth. your pro, just below XT should run it just fine at good settings since I can run it well on high settings.
I checked the fps when there wasnt much action going on and it goes all the way up to 200fps, drops to 70 when theres lots of stuff going on, surprisingly it uses a lot of the processor and ram, so if thats set you can get good settings with ur vid card

i have a p4 2.4 with hyper-threading and 512 ram so i think that should be good

Its your processor. You could probably turn your GFX up without taking much of a hit. HL2 'hiccups' for everybody, I'd think. Only less so on really high-end machines.

ok, thats it! now i know there is something wrong with my ****ing 9600XT! I can run it on 1024x768 with all the suggested settings and i have some slow down, I never got above 50fps i would think. i hope my 9800pro for christmas isnt as ****ed up as this card
