Sure, it's practically identical to the Bible...

What does that prove... there are twice as many nutjobs than we thought?

Somebody should get Cruise involved in a huge scandal and destroy his career already. He's dragging way too many celebrities into Scientology.

As far as I'm aware Scientology starts with them stating that none of the junk you here about it is true, and that its much simpler and less weird. Its only after a very long time that you rise to the level where they let you in on the "secret," and thats when many many people have bailed on it.
 
Just because some thing is good doesn't make it true. The sooner all these religious nutjobs learn that the better.
 
Since I first learned of Scientology and it's bullshit, I've been avoiding movies featuring those who are members. Looks like I won't be watching anymore movies with Will.

Edit: According to this interview, which was conducted after that article was written, Will claims that he isn't a Scientologist.

No it's weird as hell from the moment you walk in the door. I don't know if they still have it, but they used to have a church in the downtown area close by. Me and a friend went in one day after lunch just to see how bad it was (this was about 10 years ago or so). Creepy as hell, the people in there were like mindless drones. Just about any question we asked was answered with nothing more then, "You should look at purchasing this [holding a copy of Hubbard's Dianetics], it explains everything."

Then, their 30min video that "explains everything" about Scientology, talked about nothing more than the celebs they have onboard and that they own an oceanliner and a commercial jet. The video ends with a real doozy when the host/narrator of the video basically says your life will be worthless and you'll end up being murdered at some point if you don't turn to the power of scientology. They kicked us out after the video because we couldn't stop laughing, I don't think I ever laughed that hard.

I'm not religious at all, but I usually don't mind whatever people choose to worship. That stuff though, is completely messed up and I can't even imagine what kind of mental issues one has that would make them buy into that.
 
That's because it's copied from the Bible. It was written by a sci-fi writer who needed money, and he got it.
 
Er, he's not converting. He's just saying it because he's friends with Tom Cruise. He's got a grandma who'd be pissed at him if he converted anyway.

I'm pretty sure Will Smith is not a scientologist. He's just defending it as a choice of religion.
 
It doesn't say he's a scientologist. It just says he's studying it.

Like one studies Christianity in RE but not believe it.
 
I think he's one of the more sane actors.

doubt this is true, Wills a Christian and always will be. Dunno how much into religion he is but the track 'Holy Roller' - Lost and Found tells you allot of his feeling towards religion
 
If he ever converts, I'm right there with him.

But to all scientologists, I support you seeing as how Will Smith does.

Scientology and the teachings of the Bible are different on well...pretty much everything. How we were created, what we believe in life, how we are saved, what happens when they die... Scientology bears about as much similarity to Christianity as does evolution! LOL
