could someone help me out
i just wanna make sure that it will run on my mobo:

MSI MS-6712 ATX mobo
VIA KT4V(KT400) chipset

it supports 8x AGP so..
just curious
thanks

Yea as long as you have an 8X AGP, you only need a 4X to run it. The only other limitation would be your PSU.

Thats a lie. I had a 9800SE running on a 230W PSU for a week, with NO problems. However, over long periods of time, it might become a problem :)

ati say that the minimum or recomended ( i forget which one ) requirements for the 9800 is a 300w psu. i supose i could run but it probabaly depends on how much other devices u have in ur computer.

I ran two hdds(7200rpm), 2 optical drives(cd burner and dvd), 1 Radeon 9800np flashed to pro and clocked to 405/391, 1 Barton 2500+ clocked to 2.2ghz(XP3200), 2 80mm casefans, 1 Thermaltake Volcano 7+(or whatever it's name is), Soundblaster LivePlayer 5.1 and a MSI Motherboard(Nforce2) with 512MB ram(1 stick) on a 250 watt psu. Worked like a charm. Not enough molex connectors though, had to use a splitter(or whatever you want to call them). Now i use 350 watts, sold the old one to my father.. :)

i have a 400w PSU so no worries
thanks for the info boys
