Will we see Odessa again? I dont think he's going to be in Ep 3 at all but what about AFTER Ep 3.

( Gordon needs to return the rocket launcher)
 
nah... i hope he doesnt come back. I dont like him THAT much for him to come into ep3 OR AFTER ep3
 
Wouldn't rule it out. He could show up in the arctic, maybe he was part of Mossman's team. I'd prefer it if Grigori returned, but that would probably feel a bit shoe-horned.
 
You've lost his rocket launcher in the citadel, when it got vaporized, remember?

I read somewhere that he has been captured by the combine and that you can see his picture on the monitor while Alyx searches for her dad in the database. Somebody should go and take a look, I don't have HL2 installed right now, so I can't check it.

Also, I think he will be back because he seems to be popular among the resistance, remember Alyx mentioning him in the safe house in the Episode One.
 
he is not popular. in episode 1 the resistance member called him an idiot.

When did they called him an idiot? Only time his is mentioned was when Alyx sarcastically states that Odessa is her father.
Anyway people don't have to like you for you to be popular. Some people are "idiots", but they are still popular.

Peek though the floor boards above them, after you fall though the floor into the Zombies, and you'll hear them talking about Osessa and Black Mesa etc. I hope he doesn't come back i didn't like him, he is useless and thinks he is super important.

Oh, I forgot about that moment. I remember them whining about who put Kleiner in charge, about eating headcrabs and about weather, but I don't remamber them saying anything about Odessa. Can somebody remind me what do they say about him?
 
Odessa Cubbage was an ass. I'd prefer to be locked in a room with Dr. Magnusson.
 
I don't see them being able to write OC back into the game's plot gracefully, so I'd say no. Given, the series's stellar writing, though, I'm sure if they did work him back in it would be fine. I'd actually say he's less of a long shot than Grigori whose undisclosed fate is part of his mystique.
 
never liked the guy... anyone who calls themselves a colonel while wearing a security jacket is def not legit.

but... i kind of hope he's put in somewhere to explain his chat with the g-man in hl2
 
I thought it would be funny if Cubbage became a huge resistance hero and rebels start asking you about the time he shot down a gunship to save you.
 
Characters like Cubbage and Grigori were, I'm sure, always meant to be once-off characters. I doubt we'll see them again and I don't think we should.

I hope he gets ran over by a razor train, he was really useless.
He's a disgrace to the British.(He is British right?)
 
His accent sounds pretty phoney (which was intentional by Valve)
 
I still think that we should have a massive pitched battle in Ep3. Grigori comes over the hill leading a large group of bloody citizens from other citys. Or he leads tame zombies- fun, but unlikely.

Odessa runs into a hut on the battlefield to "radio for reinforcements", and the battle surges in that direction. A strider comes over. Cue the famous Ep2 exploding building scene.

the timing would be right,
coincidence, I think not...
 
Cubbage was obnoxious and cliche. I hope we don't see him again!
