I'll probably be able to run it on Medium or Low... lol, 9800 Pro. But a 3Ghz system. Maybe High without AA or AF.

LOL i assume thats a plasma tv, quality not as good.
WHAT TIME IS THE WEEKLY UPDATE USUALLY?

AMD 64+ 3200
1gb Corsair DDRAM
6600GT nVidia 128mb

I'm hoping mine will run The Lost Coast smoothly. I bought my system 3 days ago!

If you cant, im screwed too, Orcone101. Cept i got 6800gt and worserer ramsticks.

I can only hope that valve is nice and lets lost coast run on my pc just as well as HL2, cause HDR should only be optional in the video settings like it is on CS:S right now (and of course, it is unselectable for me)

I believe it is an optional thing. If you look at HL2 right now under Video settings, there's an option to turn off HDR for HDR-enabled maps.

HDR isn't what'll rape your PC, it's all the detailed textures and high poly models.

The Fisherman model for instance, is 4,000+ polys.

I deny the existence of the Fisherman!

Are you people trying to be pessimistic for the hell of it? I'm seeing like 10 people with specs good enuff to play FEAR on high settings saying that they might JUST barely play it. WTF?

BTW I dunno if I will be able to play LC, if I do then JUST barely...
Specs:
P4 2.6ghz w/ HT
1gig DDR Ram
X700 XT (256mb)

I will hanlde it if not a metor comes flying down from the sky and hit my lovly pc:p

My graphics card sucks, it cant even play the new Splinter Cell.

AMD Athlon 2200
GeForce 4 Ti4200
512 mb of Ram

I'll be upgrading next year some time though. :p

Ah, so I see. Your computer sucks a big one.

But I hope you'll make a thread in Hardware and Software when you're ready to get that new rig put together

I'll have to, because I won't have a clue what I'm doing due to me knowing little about specs 'n' stuff. :p

I have a 2.0ghz Sempron with 512MB RAM and a 256MB Geforce FX 5500, could that play Lost Coast (on medium detail at least?)

i think your ram and your GFX card wont let you play fx's cant do hdr or dx9.0
