IGN posted this review on their site tonight. Click here
It scored a 9.3, which is phenomenal. Anyone getting it?

I was in the beta, and I think the game is pretty good. I personally would like a Soviet campaign, which might come out as an expansion later.

Definetly getting it, Massive are win when it comes to RTT games. The MP isn't entirely my cup of tea, but its still fun, and if the SP keeps up the standard set in the demo mission then I think that it will more than live up to the legacy of Ground Control.

Damn fun game, multiplayer's a blast.

My GOD. I still have to wait for two/three weeks to get this game. It is going to kill me.

Should get my copy tommrorow in the post. I can't wait, I just wish I hadn't needed to RMA 2GB of my RMA.

A little off-topic - why do you order games? You have to wait for it to arrive via post, while you could just walk to a shop and buy it there.

Well I get it a day early. The game is out Friday here. They post it today and I get it tomorrow. Plus it is cheaper.

Yeah, you sometimes get it a day before. Plus, they're usually cheaper online than in hmv, virgin, game etc. And they just come through the door, which is kinda handy, and less effort !!

:)

Any opinions on this game? It looks excellent...I think I'm going to buy it this weekend.

****ing awesome! Really is. Playing on medium and it gets pretty insane. Shame it crashed though. Stupid Nvidia driver!!!!1 :flame:

Wait, this game is made by Massive? I'm suddenly excited.

My copy is now sitting proudly on my desk !

Unfortunately, i have decided that i shall not be cracking it open until i have replaced my Athlon 64 setup with a Core2Duo setup and Vista. Reasoning being two-fold:

1. This games seems to see a decent benefit from dual-core, the physics are fairly complex and on my single core i have to lower the physics detail setting to low to avoid my fps plummeting when battles really kick off.

2. Apparently, there is actually a noticeable difference between DX10 and DX9. The game still looks fantastic on DX9, but even better on DX10, and i think this game is worthy of the extra candy.

So i shall proceed to torture myself until i get round to buying the necessary components !

It's not so much a case of upgrading purely for this game, more that i'd been holding off the upgrade until something came about that actually showed a tangible benefit from dual-core and DX10.

9.3 and 9.5 ehhh
i found the demo to be mildly entertaining but i suppose the multiplayer is where it really shines
gonna check it out

i ran into a problem on the demo. i downloaded it and installed it but when i went to play it....it loaded and i got into the campaign mission and then when i went to actual start playin it wouldnt work for some strange reason...has this happened to anyone else..i've been tring to fix it but all atempts end in failure. please help!

thx

Just do it. Play it now and then play it again on your new computer.

How's the multiplayer? I hear it's orgasmic.

It should be if you play in a team/friends. It is alot better when the teams are organized.

What are yer specs?

Gah, decisions decisions.

It's either this.... Bioshock, or the Orange Box.

I've heard the online suck balls if you have dumbass partners who would just whore artillery and heavy support with no air or infantry.

I have the collector's edition (unfortunately translated with dubbing), the Soviet version.

Because there was no NATO box and USA is overused.

whats the minimun requirements?

Minimum specs for modern games:

Water cooling system piped in from a glacier - Check

Twin linked 2gb graphics cards - Check

1.2TB high speed ram
- Check

2x 8ghz Dual core processors - Check

(Obviously I am being sarcastic, but games on the pc are so expensive to play these days)

I bought it today, it's pretty good fun. Haven't ventured online yet. The laptop in my sig runs it pretty well at 1280x800 on medium detail.

Demo was good, but as most games nowadays, showed that my PC is outdated (played on medium, but it was smooth(ish) only on low), even though I supposedly meet the recommended requirements - 2.5Ghz, 1GB RAM, 6800 or an ATI equivalent (don't remember exactly, read them on the rear of the box yesterday). Is it me or did meeting the recommended requirements allow you to play games on med/max graphics once upon a time?

There was once a time. But today that is no longer the case.

The recommended graphics card is 7600GT or above

gona try the demo tomorrow, hopefully it lives up to my expectations

I'm playing through the SP...got to the third mission and failed it when the battleship was called in...didn't feel like redoing 40 minutes so I said **** it. It's fun though.

I had the same problem with supreme commander. An auto save feature when major objectives are completed would help so much.

I read them on the rear of the box in the store yesterday.

Huh? I'm just saying.

im going to try to see if the demo works tomorrow hopefully it doesnt fail agian :(
