World of Goo

How far did you get Dog--? If you played the first few levels then I can see that you would get that idea, but play some more and you will (hopefully) see it for what it really is.

I played like 5, 6 or 7 levels. around there somewhere.

Only because Evo said to.

Yeah, after the first 7-8 the game really starts to shine :3

I wouldn't say I played the same game in the first place if I didn't play World of Goo. Yes, I played Tower of Goo before, but I just played World of Goo 3 hours ago. Honestly, **** off. It's the same game. Halo 1 and Halo 2 or are the same game, different levels. Same thing here, douche bag.

EDIT: Where'd all this hostility come from anyway? I just said it wasn't worth a buy, it's just not a fantastic game..

I bet you are the biggest puss in real life.

As for the hostility, perhaps not telling people to **** off after making a small point will dissuade any future confrontation.

Seems pretty charming, but I'm not quite "getting" it yet. Played the first 8 or so levels I think, getting to the point where I can't build anything that actually stays up any more. Getting kind of frustrating to be honest, don't think I have much of a future in structural engineering. :P

The sound is amazing for a game of this level, though. Every little tick and pop makes the whole thing a lot more satisfying, and the music is simply great.

Eff you all, I'mma get a friend to gift it to me after exams.

For those of you struggling with your towers can you give me a pic of how you are making them?

Just picture what it looks like if you grab any random goo and build upwards and outwards without any foresight or planning whatsoever.

S'pretty much it. :)

Bah as high as I can be bothered to get to. Wasn't using as many balls as it says as quite a few peaks had fallen off at various stages.

uh oh here come the troll, I bet your a big huge MMA fighter in real life then, right?

Upon further review of the game I approve. Still not worth $10 for me, but eh.

Is there a way to run this in a window?

Situate your monitor on a windowsill.

The bumpage!

Anyone tried this for Wii? If it's any good I'll probably get it when I fix my wii online

Sorry Sheepo I got the PC version.

This game is pretty great BTW. Price may seem a little steep but the game is done so well. And the music is epic.

bumpage

Just got the Steam weekend deal. Great little game. Haven't had this much fun with a puzzle game since Lemmings. Frustrating at times, but that's all the more reason to cheer once you reach that faucet.

Same here. Fortunately, that was only last year (go go homebrew Lemmings DS).

And I lie if Peggle Deluxe and Puyo Puyo 15th Anniversary count as puzzle games. They do don't they? Fun Fun Fun.

I've only just broken into the second chapter and I'm undone by the ingenuity in the last few levels. The solutions come so easily but they make you feel like a genius when it falls into place.

The level names can be so funny: 'It's not a bug, it's a feature'. :D

I bought it Friday. I have completed all levels in the game but 3 (I have OCD flags on 2). I haven't touched anything else since I bought it.

Some of them can be quite tedious when you try to approach them with impossible solutions, and suddenly they fall into place. They aren't very hard, but they feel very rewarding. This is how a puzzle game should be. The plot twists are so amusing.
