World of Warcraft section?

I believe this has been tried before, but a World of Warcraft section should be added as a sub divider for General Games.

So many people on here play it now, it would be really great to have a place to talk.
 
i dont have WoW. but i would like to try it out. It got pretty good ratings,, thing is i dont have the money to pay for it :devil: :sniper: :monkee:

I don't think anyone has asked for a WoW section before. But it does seem to be very popular with a lot of people on here, and I wouldn't mind having one neither once i've got it. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions about it, saves cluttering up general games.

But, this is still a HL2 forum and there's plenty of WoW forums out there, including the official ones, so I dunno if it'll happen....


UNLESS.. the WoW gamers here make their own group or something? clan or whatever its called on the game. I suppose then it might make sense to have a special section for it?

The problem with that is that people won't all be able to be on the same server, due to US players only allowed on US servers etc. etc.

I don't think a WoW section is really needed, and the situation certainly doesn't warrant for one. Unlike Doom 3 and Halo 2, only because an obscene amount of threads were being made on those subjects and creating a new forum was simply a means of controlling the flow. WoW tends to only have one/two active threads at a time, which is hardly out of control.

But I would like a WoW section. :p

Pressure said something about possibly eventually a way to play on each others servers. But I guess until then, could always make a US and Europe based hl2.net clans who might one day get to meet up and then see who's the strongest hehe.

But then we'd all have to go on the same server, and that means I have to abandon my lv20 warlock. It took me a whole week of hard work to get this far dammit, that's probably the most dedication I've given to something in my entire life. :p

Us european Hl2.netters allready have. It's called order of the crowbar, and as Sulkdodds said, our forum is www.wowforums.co.uk .

You see the thing about a WoW section is that the game's so blooming great, everyone just plays the game rather than posting. Notice why letters hasn't been posting here much lately? Or bad hat? They've been playing WoW. I'm sure all of you haven't heard from dedalus for ages... But I have... He's level 30 something allready and we talk regularly on guild chat. So basically, why would we need a forum when we have the game? lol :)
 
Exactly, the game is great, the guild is great... the characters are great. Infact i'm off to go play. :D btw, anyone on these here forums that does play, come over to wowforums.co.uk and post, you're more than welcome.

I'd like a section for wow,

along with a thread that tells you how to make it patch right and how to rid yourself of the dreaded memory errors

but one just the same :)
 
if we do make a clan ,its going to be on gorgonash, you ask why? i dont want to leave my 48 rogue T_T
 
I dont think we need a section on WoW, especially as we are on different servers, its not as if we'll be organising raids etc. I'll just reiterate what Suicide said, anyone that does want to chat about WoW specifically go to www.wowforums.co.uk we need more members :)

They were used as a means of controlling the huge amount of threads being made about them; the general gaming chat forum was being over-run. So they made a forum for them. WoW threads aren't going out of control, so it doesn't need one.

I still think it'd be great to have a WoW forum even if posts about it aren't going out of control. Maybe it'll promote more posts, and hey, I'm addicted to WoW and need a place to talk about it :)

i dont know why you would want to put a WoW game in the hl2 forums, makes hardly any sense to me.

There's a grand total of two WoW topics in General Gaming. That doesn't merit it's own section.
 
Yes but any WoW topic that does exist usually gets past 10 pages easily. I'm sure that if a sub was created alot more WoW topics would be created because everyone wouldn't be posting in 2 topics.
 
Everyone seems to be managing perfectly well at the moment. You'll cope.

They have WoW forums for a reason.....Hint people have been using them. ;)

There is no need for a WoW section.

1) The General Gaming section isn't exactly overrun with WoW threads

2) You're pretty much the only person asking for one

3) There's no need for a WoW section
