Worst casting ever? Cher to play Catwoman in next Batman film

Nobody ever has anything to say about Azrael :frown:

Azrael is friggin perfect, and he'd be an epic villian, and add depth to Wayne's struggle.

Him and maybe the Riddler, maybe even, Azrael, The Riddler, and Penguin would make a great movie. Though The Penguin would make an epic Mob Boss.

I still don't know who azrael is. I keep thinking he's from batman beyond.

wait, you mean that guy who took over after bane broke batman's back?

Yes, and then instead of incarcerating villians, he went on a villian killing spree. Wayne ended up having to take back his position by taking down Azrael himself.

Which is exactly what Bat Man should've done in the first place...

In the animated series some of those villains are so dangerous it would be kind of like trying to imprison the hulk or something.

If the cher thing is true, Nolan has lost his mind. People thought Heath where a misstake but he proved them wrong.

He wont this time.

Far too early to explore Azrael. In fact I don't think I ever want to see Jean-Paul Valley show up. First of all you couldn't do it like the comic, having someone stand in for Batman. One possible way to do it would be to show him as another vigilante who is not only capable (unlike the fake Batmen in TDK) but he also kills. Still, it seems kind of ham-fisted. If we're not getting Robin, we shouldn't get Azrael. This is Batman's initial years.

Speaking of which, there's a villain that's never been touched on: Holiday. Perfect, perfect villain for Nolan's style of Batman. In fact I'm rather surprised that the third film won't be about Holiday. His story would mesh so well with this version of Batman.

As for Catwoman...meh. Not like it can be any worse than Halle Berry.

this has to be a joke. cher? wtf no way. off the top of my head i can think of at least 10 women who would make a better catwoman than cher.

I'll admit, when I first heard Heath Ledger had been cast as the Joker I was all like "wut?", but look at the results.

I'll just keep tight-lipped about the whole Cher thing.

Johnny Depp though, please no. Just please. Not that he's bad or anything... just please - no.

It could work as long as they don't attempt to create a sexual tension between Batman and Catwoman.

I dont see how they can make her all cat like ..a 60 year old's body, even Cher, is anything but graceful or sexy ..please god no skin tight cat outfit you'll ruin sexy cat outfits for the rest of my life

Theres gonna be another batman film?

Can producers stop making shit already?

Azrael is way cooler than Robin though. However, I guess you are right in the prospect that it is too early.

But who is Holiday? I've never heard of this one.

Weren't people saying the same thing about Heath Ledger as the Joker?

Actually the Riddler is all but confirmed. On one of the viral websites for TDK a letter is written in the gotham times by Edward Nashton which is an alias for the riddler.

That's what you would consider confirmation?

along with the persistent rumours and gary oldman hinting at the riddler in the third movie? yes.

posion ivy- she could be interesting, but the plants doing her bidding thing is a bit much, maybe if it focused on her poisons and... stuff.
I thought she could only do that in that new shitty cartoon. I thought her only abilities in the comics were an immunity to poisons and poisoned lips.

penguin- yes, I think he'd do swell. I think he's realistic enough to be a good candidate.
Agreed.

killer croc- looks like he's in the game, he may fit into the movie. I think he would, actually. Go for a skin cancer or genetic experiment approach.
Killer Croc is part of the Nolan universe already. He's in Gotham Knight. He has some sort of skin disease and has filed his own teeth into needlepoints. He doesn't actually look like a croc TBH. He was also one of the inmates in Archam who Scarecrow experimented on with his fear gas. I don't know how much of this is true to the comics; I'm not very familar with Croc.

I know Clayface won't be used, but I'm still going to express my support for him!
CLAYFACE FOR PRESIDENT!

Bleh, catwomans alright. I look forward to seeing what they do with the Riddler. I've never cared for the Penguin.

Catwoman is better than Harley Quinn (Sorry Lefty), if they do use her, they could make quite an awesome "high-tech" suit for her, as batman's new suit was pretty awesome, combat oriented, and SWAT-like. Now imagine what they could do with a female, who is supposed to represent a cat, sexy.

The appropriate response here would be to find a picture of Harley with some kind of :hmph: face on. But I don't want to expend the effort, so I will ignore it. For now.

I'm sorry that I have to speak the truth. :p

Over-rated

*chuckles while waiting for lefty to swing*

Am I the only one thinks that the Penguin is the stupidest possible villian?

Am I the only one thinks that the Penguin is the stupidest possible villian?

I don't mean Burton's ludicrous Penguin - I mean the Penguin with a Nolan makeover. The gentlemen of crime. A quite normal, if somewhat loathsome and brutal mobster pulling political strings and futhering the manhunt for Batman. He'd make a great villain and he would fit perfectly into the Nolan universe.

Yes you are.

I agree with Samon, Cher needs to play the Penguin.

what do you prefer, some kind of romero-joker with a painted moustache?
