WoW Christmas...

How cool is this? These are the kinds of things that really set games apart. I've been apart of Christmas "festivities" [cough SOE cough] in other MMO's, and nothing approaches the depth, and care that this has. Snowball fights? Christmas quests? Christmas lights? First. Time. My. Monthly. Fee. Was. Worth. It.

Its the little things right? Speaking of which, does EQ2 have anything special going on right now?

It will, on christmas eve or day they send a troll or ogre around dressed in special christmas armor and give out items to people randomly, along with red and green colored baby dragons and stuff, that is what EQ1 had atleast.

And i've never noticed how pretty WoW looked...

Haha thats really cool. I was going to buy EQ2, but I'm just not into the whole crafting/role playing/power gaming thing. Its graphics are great.

anyway, there are goblin salesmen in all the major cities that are selling snowballs, Greatfather's Winter ale, candy canes, gingerbread cookie recipes, misletoe and more! Not only that but there is a number of festive decorations, including the (pictured) "greatfather winter" who wants you to fetch him some cookies in a quest! even the horde are getting in the spirit, with the undead undercity displaying )limited) decorations

This really makes me want to have the game. damn blizzard, releasing it in the US first!!!!

Its funny, because I havent looked forward to this game even 1/90th that you have, and I'm still enjoying it. I can only imagine how much you'll like it :cheers: The waits worth it... though I never really experienced one.

WoW looks amazing. Not because of bump mapping this or pixel shading that, they just have amazing artists working at blizzard.

The Christmas festivities are really fun. I really love how they added snowballs. They even added special crafting recipes for the holiday season. This special holiday update is amazing.

ditto, it should have been worldwide, i dont think they got a eu release date yet because they still need allot of staff.

Yea, they dont call it Christmas in WoW either. Its called Winter Veil. But you can tell. One of the more fun parts about is a quest where you must get Stolen Christmas Supplies back from the "Greench"

wow, that sounds so great! I think at the very least WOW should give away shristmas wrapping paper (they allready have normal wrapping paper) for free, and maybe even give everybody a present dpending on their level, class and race, E.G. dwarf gets pint of ale

alternatively they could give everyone a randomly generated pet that is worth no money but can be traded with other players, and only lasts for a month. So you could get a penguin, or cute lil' bear, or baby reindeer or something
