So it was raining all day yesterday, dropped 30 degrees in an hour, and then went down to the 20's during the evening. Started snowing, and the water froze. Preventing me from going to work this morning, and even getting into my car......

NOW FOR PICS!

We just had a record month of rainfall/snow 300 something cm

It never snows here, but we have a cold front that moved in from Alaska and parked itself over California, so it's been frickin cold these past few days. It's 36F here right now, which is crazy for California.

ya know, I couldn't sleep this morning because it was so hot in my room and I had the window cracked even and the heat is off :(

Tomorrow is December, and the temperature is still as though it was in September. (ca 10C) This temperate change is scaring me :(

Aaaahahahaha. I would take a picture of our front yard, but the camera melts as soon as it's hit by direct sunlight here...

We've been lucky so far considering our geography. Luckily, we've only had one snow fall that stuck for a little bit, and that was only a couple inches.

Ahhh that looks great Paul, I envy your snow, it makes everything look different. I'm off to Australia in 2 weeks, I guess I won't find much snow there :(

Over here in the georga montains we get some snow sometimes during december. since we live on a hill when u look at it when there is a full blanket of snow covering the hill. It looks like a frosted cupcake.

Pink snow. Interesting.

Gah im still waiting for the snow over here so i can go snowboarding. Living in northen Italy near the Alps (i come from sweden thats why it says sweden on my profile, im fully swedish and i dont speak a word italian)

:hmph: I was talking about WHITE FROSTING:hmph: and since its a hill it looks like thr top of a cupcake.

Do not want any of that at all....one of the reasons why I flipped my integra....

/me stays off streets when roads are that bad now...

There's incredibly tiny snowflakes here... but nothing will ever stick because of the huge amount of rain we got here last night. The ground is soaked, the snow will just dissolve.

More like light hail anyways... so tiny it's insignificant.

Weather.com says they expect one inch of snow by this evening. I hope it snows while its still daylight. I want to go take pictures!

But I don't have any batteries! Argh, damnit.

Those pictures reminded me of missouri....then I noticed that it IS MISSOURI. I hate Missouri.

I too recently had this winter's snow-cherry popped. It was just a couple of inches, but generally satisfying.

Yeah, it's not that it's a shitload of snow, it's that it's an inch thick of ICE. And shit, it's sleeting here AGAIN! It's been doing it for an hour, and it's only 1/2 way through. Want to go outside and take a picture, but I still have clothing on. I refuse to go outside with more than my boxors on.

ohhhhhhh stille nacht,heilige nacht...allles schlaeft alles wacht....Ohoooohoooo...
Gosh to bad I wont be in Germany for Xmas ;(

Go outside with your boxers on then.

We used to have dares to run out of the house in our boxers, run down the street to the end, and run back to the house. It was around 0 to -5 degrees out often, and the road was a couple inches thick with compressed snow and ice.

Was great, crazy fun.

God... I miss regular snow :(

You know, I read the entire thread after you said that, and can find nothing preventing pantsed excursions. So, uh, why's that?

Because I took a nap and I just did it :D They told me to check the mail..couldn't open the door..damn ice :p

Lawl.

Anyway, it's 68 degrees here right now. In Boston. On the last day of NOVEMBER.

D:

We (my friends) used to have tons when it snowed hard the night before. We'd jump out of the second story window in our boxers into a pile of snow.

Im sweating my balls off here.

And I used to live in Connecticut, and for you to miss anything (school, work etc) it had to be like 3+ feet of snow. There is nothing stopping you from getting to work based on that picture.

*sigh* If you were to read what I said. SNOW ISN'T THE PROBLEM. Shit, snow is easy to drive in. It's the fact that the road has at least 1 1/2 inches of PURE ICE *with it STILL sleeting* and it's an RX-7, with bald tires, with the car completely iced with at least 1/2 inch, and I have to go up and down some nasty hills with that much ice on the ground....snow is completely irrelivant in this picture.

I can't unlock my car, because the lock is iced. OK...I get in. I'm not driving on ice. Driving on ice is dangerous. It's more dangerous mixed with OTHER people trying to drive on it. No tnx.

This weather is f***ed up. It's 70 degress here in Louisville KY

I wish some snow fall here, get some school off, and it would only take about 4+ inches too.

If it's allowed there, go buy some snow tire chains... install em, and go drive!

Or just go drive without em and risk dying. IT COULD BE AN ADVENTURE!
