does anyone know when Heroes, Journeyman, Chuck and maybe even Bionic Woman will be back on? Is it later on this month or cos of the writer's strike later this year?

I heard the strike is still on...I want House back :(

The problem is that even if they settled this very moment, episodic shows like House and Heroes wouldn't be new until 2009.

While on the subject if anyone cares...some late night hosts are coming back, including Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, however they don't have their writers which should be interesting.

What is the strike about anyway? I haven't heard any details about it.

They all want Lederman off air.
As do many writing-unrelated citizens through out the world.

I wouldn't go that far.

I believe that there are a lot of writers ****ed off because when TV shows go to DVD, they do not get a percentage of the sales. Or at least, not a large one. Also something about writers for reality shows and animated shows not being included in the union.

I heard this was going to be the first and last season of Journeyman. I could be wrong though.

Shit, I need my Stephen Colbert!
THE COLBERT REPORT IS NOT ON AS LONG AS THIS STRIKE KEEPS GOING.

They're going to hire blow job writers who will work for less. Of course all the writing is going to sound a lot like your average film you see on the Scifi Channel.

Don't talk shit about Raptor Island. The dinosaurs killed terrorists. They fought for FREEDOM.

I want Heroes now! And there're only eight episodes of Lost written!

If this strike goes for as long as the last one we are still 13 weeks away from its conclusion.

Not necessarily, there are a lot of really good, undiscovered writers. Many of whom could actually turn out some far better writing than some of the shit that's currently on. I'll just say "Desperate Housewives" and leave it at that.

Holy crap!
Conan has a beard now! :O
He played Rock Band during a bit about what the staff has been doing since the strike started and therefore sung Sabotage by the Beastie Boys...
It can be summarized in one acronym...roflmao.

Colbert Report and Daily show are coming back on.

Was quite funny. Who needs writers...
(kidding)

Exactly.
And the writers strike pisses me off, they are spoiled as shit. They get more than enough money for some of the crap they write.

If a writer were to write around two scripts, regardless of whether or not it was the main script for the show, writing about two scripts gives them enough money for the rest of the year.
They are paid generously.

My problems with it mainly are the fact that heroes volume 2 therefore maybe season 2 was only 12 episodes long and it means realistically they don't have to write any for a few months and what the hell are they supposed to put on TV if theres nothing new. Im english so it doesn't really bother me but what about america... they need it. Plus why the funk have they cancelled Journeyman it's a great show and 13 shows didn't really explore the brilliant idea of it plus Kevin McKidd is scottish ie british

Wow... so if you wrote the greatest film of all time that made hundreds of millions at the box office, you'd be happy just to get paid $100,000 for the script and let the DVD sales etc of the movie you created from scratch go to some suit at Warner Bros?

The writers are the most important part of any show/movie and should make far more money than anyone else. All of your favourite movie scenes wouldn't exist if some writer didn't think of it and write it down.

They already get payed for DVD royalties, this strike is mostly about getting royalties for things posted online.

You haven't a clue what you're talking about.

Which is where things are headed.

Letterman's back, and he's already making fun of the writer's strike.
