I doubt I'll be getting an X800 pro or 6800Gt for xmas now, too much. So it's down to the $300 or less cards, out of the X800SE and 6800NU, which is the best? Or is the 6600GT better (i know kinda a dumb question but I've seen it beat the 6800NU in a couple benches). So which one is the best? And also I want the best image quality, I'm kinda leaning towards the X800SE and if there's not much of a difference I think that's what I'll get because I think I'd rather have an ATi card this time.

I would pick 6800NU, but it ís your opinion.

6800nu as well, better performer and you may be able to flash it to 16 pipes.

x800SE has only 8 pipelines and it is not good...

You also for the record don't need to "flash" a 6800NU, just get rivatuner and enable the NVstrap driver. Unlock them and you're set.

Get the 6800NU.

Well it's not a guaranteed thing though. I don't care as much about unlocking the pipes, if I get the 6800NU I probably wouldn't unlock the pipes until later when the card starts to show it's age, to give it a boost. But for now it'll be plenty for me. I can't run resolutions higher than 1280x1024 because of my monitor anyway.

True, I was only able to unlock the vertex unit.

Yeah I think the sweet spot for this card is 1024x768 anyways.

It'll be one hell of a nice upgrade from that 5200 you've got either way.

Yeah the main thing is the graphics will look good, even if I turn them all the way up they don't look nearly as good as they should. Can't wait.
