Well, seeing as how I CAN'T afford an uber machine and seeing as how there are some games that WON'T come to the PC or, at the very least, not play as well, I am definitely considering getting a 360.

Any ideas as to how much the 360's price will drop within the first year? I may consider getting one next September/October-ish if the price goes down enough.

I'm going to go try one in the store near me and see how it plays before buying one. I mean I will definately buy one for the games, but depending on my impression of it, i may wait untill a price drop (a long time)

I waited and waited for the PS2 to price drop and they just wouldn't do it. I'm sure i waited at least 6 months if not 1 year and 6 months. I finally gave in and bought one for 299 and probably, though I do not remember clearly they lowered the price some a couple months later.

So I would say a long ass time

ok kind of off subject but, the Xbox360 controller is compatible with the pc? DAMN YOU MICROSOFT! why don't they get a clue and make like usb keyboards compatible with the 360. I'd be so much more willing to fork over some cash to MS is i could hook up a keyboard and mouse to game with on xbox live.

I played an XBox 360 today at a promo event. Every single game was locked at 30, and some of them were dipping below, especially Perfect Dark Zero. I was rather disappointed overall, as well - Perfect Dark looked nice, but was actually pretty boring, and Project Gotham 3 was just another ho-hum racer. That said, I only played two games, but I wasn't really that impressed (and the imitation-rapper guys working there really pissed me off).

I really can't see how 30FPS is a bad thing...unless your really picky. Plus, you don't need 200FPS. You only need 60...because your eye can't pick up anything faster than 60.
