Stop buying consoles, duh!I still dont know why they REFUSE to upgrade the hardware. Im taking they wont do an upgrade for atleast another 3 years. Games in 2013 built to the standard of 2005 technology. Am i the only one who sees something wrong with this picture? I dont understand the reasoning behind this :/ Thats like using Doom 1 technology in 1998 (around half-life release).

You're holding technology back. You did it. I told you.
OT, I like the new one a lot better now. Not that I'd ever own one of these devil machines.
Forgive me, great elite one. I'm just swinging randomly now. They're all over!Buy consoles? ME??? Im a PC gamer, i would NEVER buy a console. I feel insulted that you would even think i would own a console, i demand an appology NOW! I hate consoles as much as you do, trust me.
So, instead buy 3 consoles?Because everyone loved upgrading their computer every 2 years. Seriously, let's bring that back. >_>

ooo shiny
THIS apart from rising was the ONLY surprising part and that’s sad.
I am immensely jealous of everyone in the audience getting a 360 for free cos right now i am EMBARASSED to have actually bought one.
PS: How much money wise is that they’re giving away?!?! O_O
PPS: HOW ON EARTH WAS THIS NOT LEAKED!!??
PPPS: this is clearly a bribe cos of how **** they're conference was, this way journos wont call it worst e3 ever and all that

Who cares. How about some major improvements to Games For Windows Live (GFWL).
I don't think so. My PC is equal parts work machine/media center/game system, and because I make a living from my computer, my PC 'paid for itself' in a few hours.Every 6-7 years (looking at this gen). ****ing bargain
Well, they do offer updates from time to time, but yes, I share the same dismay at the fact that Microsoft published games are not coming to the PC. But it's no matter, I'll play something else. I always get bored of the disposable console games anyway.Probably will never happen. I wish they would bring some of their XBox 360 "exclusives" to the PC (such as Gears of War 2 and 3), but they will never do that. For all their talk on supporting the PC, it's an afterthought for them.
Except computers haven't always conformed to console's graphic standards. Talkin' about the past, man.I never understood this argument. A console is nothing more than a limited function, non-upgradeable computer. So if you buy a good PC when the console releases, and then never upgrade or buy a new one, you're getting the same thing as the console, but in the shape of a much less limited PC. The only reason you'd need to upgrade is if you want the better tech that the console doesn't get. You don't HAVE to upgrade every 2 years, thats only for people who want their games looking better than the console counterparts.

Microsoft is currently working on a second new [slim] Xbox 360, which will be offered at the arcade's price point of $200.
Probably this one too then, from the looks of it.If i'm not mistaken, the guys from alienware designed the original xbox360.
I love gamers and their logic. "Their last product failed on me in a short period. Guess I'll buy their next one!"
I heard somewhere this thing has a built in HDD. Hopefully they include a transfer cable or something.
