This is probably a dumb question, but which is better for gaming? I would guess Pro because well...it's pro. I have both XP Pro and Home. Just so hard to choose, lol.
Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.

...it's actually nothing like that, because the Pro's memory and core clocks are higher then the non-pro. However, pro versions of OS' obviously dont work the same. Its kinda like saying which graphics card should I use for Half-Life 2, a 9600 or a 9600 Pro cause I have both.
Lol thats kinda odd to have both but anyways install XP Pro because its better. Its kinda like saying which graphics card should I use for Half-Life 2, a 9600 or a 9600 Pro cause I have both.
FictiousWill said:hahaha, home and pro are IDENTICAL save for some server and obscure business and networking apps that no one uses, plus security crap if 20 people use your computer. Pro also suports dual processors, whoop-de-doo.
Joims said:pro also supports dual processors better than home and is more stable HOME = Pro with all the useful netowrking and Professionla stuff TORN out
PRO = 1337 xp with everything in so is more stable due to less bodging!!

I have both, and currently use home edition, mainly cos thats the Legal one (lol) .
I'm also an I.T. support Technician and install more copies of Home than pro, mainly cos home is cheaper, Bigger businesses use Win XP corporate edition, since its Licenced for 1000 computers.
As he has said, pro edition has a few addons for Business users and some additional network stuff.
That is all.
If you want an O'S that supports 64 bit processors, download the 64bit trial version from microsoft (currently time limited for 1 year).
