I'm sick of this Halo2 stuff. My college newspaper claims it has better graphics than Doom3 and HL2... Ha! Halo2 in my college newspaper! Bah! (They even had little spartans on the headlines to match the election red and blue)
I can't beleive how much press halo2 is getting. I mean, a spike tv slot? Come on.
I was almost to sick of halo2 that I didn't want to post this, but then again I like reading this kind of thing. (I liked halo in all, but its hype is pissing me off)
 
While I too am dying to play halo 2, it would be funny to see flame wars erupting in 100,000 forums if some site like gamespot rates halo 2 8.5 or something. I know it's never likely to happen as just about EVERY site/mag is biased to eternity, but the thought is what counts!
 
If the port it to PC, then I'll downloa... I mean buy it. I think.

Anyway, I can confess that Halo was great fun i MP, me and my friends played that alot on LAN, and over internet. Ahhh, how I miss those times...

By continually bringing Halo 2 up in a non-Halo based forum, everyone who posts this stuff is just playing into the hype machine. Even if you bash it, someone else may look at it and say, "There's hype for Halo 2? Let me look into that." These types of posts are pointless and only add to the flame wars/ hype machine.

But hey, both games will be good. Look at Rome: Total War... totally great game, 0 PR, got swept under the rug.

HL2 will go word of mouth just because of its big name and extended mod community. Halo 2 will go big because of extreme hype and Halo fanboys.

Deal with it.

I'll get it as soon as it comes out on PC. i don't have an xbox and don't play FPS games on consoles anyway (i can't go back to the joy stick aiming after mouse&keyboard being way better than it). Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed Halo on PC. I don't know what everyone was complaining about. I don't know if this is just because I haven't played the xbox one, but what is so different about the PC version?

Totally great game doesn't cut it when you are showering praise on R:TW. Me thinks R:TW will be better than H2, just because I love R:TW that much.

And if you haven't bought it already, for God's sakes go get it.
 
halo 2 will also be on mtv's making the game on saturday,, cool huh?

What is all this huff n puff about H-L2 not being recognised for the excellence that it is? I dont get why anyone cares about that. I mean, Hl2 being recorded as worlds greatest game wont make the game any better. Yes you could say "i'm playing the best game ever" but come on people, that isnt what the game is about.

Get over other people's opinions. They dont affect the game/shouldn't affect your opinion of the game.

Been playing it all day, man it's fun, altough I'm running out of family members... Hmm...

Your not missing anything on the PC version that isn't on the Xbox version (except co-op which i don't see the fun in tbh). It isn't rated on the PC simply because its an average FPS shooter that does'nt stand a chance against any PC FPS nevermind the big shot FPS's like FarCry, Doom3 and Half-Life2.

I don't see anything fancy about Halo2 personally - Everything i hear about it is either in the first one or is an out-of-game rendered Cutscene. FF7/8 had amazing cutscenes but that isn't why i think there 2 of my top 10 best games ever.

Anyway i'll wait for a PC version of halo2 and just borrow it from the internet to see whats so good about it, even as a console game....
