Yet Another Hacker Thread

I just ran into a speedhacker in HL2: DM for the first time. It started to make me wonder whether it's just that I've been lucky not to run into many, or whether there really aren't many. So I thought I'd ask the forum. How many of you have run into hackers regularly? It's not as bad as CS yet, I hope?

It was amusing, though, to see the hacker's reaction to my habitually smoking his ass with combine energy balls. He accused me of hacking. :LOL:
 
Yeah I just ran into my first speedhacker the other day on CS:S but I smoked his ass too. Its funny these bad players have to use hacks to be good but they still suck lol
 
just how fast was he moving, or did he have mad skills and bounced around you like a jungle bunny on crack...?
 
He could cross dm_lockdown in less than ten seconds.

It was like playing against the Flash... except the Flash is a superhero who has actual skill...
 
I love speedhackers. So entertaining. I always get a nice laugh.

Eventually their mobo burns up, which is nice to know as well.
 
Speedhackers

Yep I ran into 2 of the sad morons the other day on www.monsterserver.net at 82.96.102.13:22500.

One was called nintendods70 and the other was RoninVR, steam ID 6079449.

Both were running around at at least 5 x normal sprint speed.

What is wrong with these people. Their lives must be very sad to need to cheat in a fun game like HL2DM, especially when it's that obvious. May as well hold up your hand and say "look at me I'm a sad tosspot with no ability whatsoever"

Lets hope VAC comes out soon and stops (or at least reduces) these morons.
 
Yeah well... If you are going to hack at least use the less noticable hacks ((Wall seeing, lack of kickback)) Though eventually you will be caught anyhow. So it is best off not to hack really, because valve can lock your account.
 
All the speedhacker I have met in DM and CSS are terrible players and me/everyone kicks their asses. :D

I never actually timed him on a straight run-through. All I know is that he killed me on one side of lockdown, and then he was right there less than ten seconds later, after I spawned on the other side of the map.

Thinking back, though, I bet he could have crossed it faster if he'd tried. And didn't bump into stuff. :rolling:

But I can tell you for certain that it wasn't just uber skillz. I know what those look like. There's a difference between the gameplay of people who demolish me (and I'm no slouch, skillwise; I'm on a 6-game winning streak) and the gameplay of this guy, zipping around like Pilz-E the Squirrel on speed.
 
Nope. VAC2 is going to be released sometime in the near future, but we don't know anything other than that. I'm guessing they'll release it without telling anyone first, so they can catch a few extra hackers.

Hopefully they will release it with no prior warning. Then it will catch many hackers off guard. They don't deserve to have their game if they cheat, whether they bought it or not.
 
You get aimbotters on q3 servers that get round punkbuster. Where there is a will there is a way.

I was playing overwatch and theres was a mongoid flying around through the air thinking he was smart....yet again he was rubbish and was easy to kill as his aim was crap moving at such a speed (even worse than mine!).

Of course. But you can't tell me that it doesn't make cheating that much more difficult.
 
im telling yeah man, theres really not that many speed hackers, everyone always says things to me along the lines of "****you cheater, stop speed hacking" theres some neat tricks in this game to speed yourself up.

Cheating breaks the EULA. So they don't have a legal right to the game if they cheat.

That happens to me sometimes after about 1/2 hour of play, especially in overwatch. Seems more like a bug than a hack. I start skating all over the place, and any time I jump or run up a ramp, I fly into the air- sometimes so high the whole map is a small square far below. The game is basically unplayable at that point and I have to quit and restart.
 
What you have to remember about any software though, Is that If a man created it, Then another man can break it.
Its always going to be that way.
Its like the donkey chasing the carrot, the carrot is the cracker/hacker and the donkey is the man who makes the anti- hack/crack programs.
 
yeah but public servers are meh, if your playing some tourney match, the demos will tell.

I can understand the skating being caused by lag, but why would lag cause you to fly up in the sky? And why would lag not affect you when you first join a server, but only after 1/2 hour, and then continuously from that point on?
 
Its lag.
The game physics aren't perfect, if you heard of a grav jump, think that like a Laggy jump.
Also, i can cross lockdown in 10 seconds if no one gets in my way, its easy with timed sprinting, and, if you are good at bunny hoping, it would be a piece of cake.
 
You know what you can do to freak out hackers? I met this hacker who called himself Trunks, (speedhacker), and i was like; "Hey motherf*cker, i see you doing that shit"
Then you just make up random shit like; "Hey, there's a deviation in the console log you asshole, you screwed it up, if you don't get the f*** out right now i'm gonna copy 'n paste and report your ass to steam. YEAH, THAT'S RIGHT!" then they just freak out and leave. I don't really have proof at all. :)
 
Hackers suck, i can rant all day on how they suck! that's why i stick to less populated games, less of a chance of hackers :E i'm no extremly talented player (or atleast i'm not sure of nor got the help to see if i am) but i can do fine. The game i'm playing now when i'm really concintrated i'm nearly unstoppable :E
