This woman is spinning both clockwise and counterclockwise.

You'll believe me once you look at it long enough.

Stared at it for a good two minutes... only seeing clockwise.

You have to trick yourself into seeing it the other way.

Look at the spinning leg, reverse the front/back passing of the other leg - so when it passes in front pretend it's passing in the back, and vice versa. Staring only at the feet/shadow can work too. It took me like five minutes, but bricks were shat.

You can apply this to any object spinning if you just see black :p

None-too-amazing, but a good gif anyway.

I just shat bricks.

Stare at the shadows.

Bahaha this is fun. If I scroll down past it and then scroll back really quick, it will randomly change direction.

Clockwise *scroll* Clockwise *scroll* Counterclockwise *scroll* Clockwise *scroll* Counterclockwise, etc. :p

*edit* awww it's not working now :frown:

I shat.

I seen counterclockwise only 2 times, now I can't switch it back to CCW. I only see clockwise now.

I've actually got to stare at the out stretched leg and tell myself "back..front..back...front" so I can get the orientation right.

At first I couldn't see ccw, but after about 30 seconds of convincing I got it, and then I couldn't see cw...so I had to tell myself the order again.

ooo - a trick!

Look at her shadowed foot, then think whatever way you want, and eventually it goes that way!

BTW, I can see nipple! :O

I always wondered what was so special about that image since it was spammed on imageboards all the time. Now I gets it.

HOLY SHIT SHE JUST CHANGED DIRECTIONS

/shits bricks

OH, take your finger and rotate it at the same position her leg is in, in the direction you want her to go. Oh god, I've made the leg switch directions every time it passes the center D:

holy shit that did the trick. i couldn't see it spinning the other way (my brain seemed determined to see it counter-clockwise) until i looked at the shadow for a bit and for some reason when i looked back she was spinning clockwise!

edit: for awhile i had trouble getting her to change directions back to CC, so I forced myself to imagine that when her leg goes one way, its in front of her, and vice versa for the other way.

my mind is beyond all tricks... I've always seen counterclockwise whenever I've seen that picture.

It's not even a "trick" really.

Have you ever seen someone in the distance, but say if the sun was behind them, you just see a dark figure, and you can't tell whether they are coming toward you or going away? Same concept.

nothing I do willl change my eyes from seeing it on clockwise. It's just aggravating me now. Like those damn eye puzzles where you gotta stare past it.

If you want to really test your mental ability, try to see it for what it really is, a completely flat 2d image (or collection of images).

Actually that makes it worse in this case. Its best to look away for a few seconds, maybe even close your eyes for a bit, then look back at it. For me now, every time I look at it, its going a different way.

OMG /shits bricks

It helps if you look away from it, but still have it in the corner of your eye. Then you try to 'imagine' it spins the way you want it to.

my brick is bigger than yours, it was quite painful

I cant take it anymore. really cant. its ccw for me all the way!!

It's CW for me, and I get the feeling I will never change it.

My head became a victim of internal combustion.

Heh. I can see it and make it go both ways. At first I was certain it was some sort of stupid trick, a gif with secret frames in it that showed for a bit then recycled again. I still can't tell for sure, since I don't have my photoshop installed.

Anyways... for me to see it, I look at the image, tilt my head to the right slightly, then focus my eyes to the left slightly on the picture. After that I could look all around the picture and see her spinning whichever way I wanted. That's how I first saw it... and it works repeatedly for me this way despite my being able to control which way it flows easily now.

All we need is more mortar and we can build a little shack from all these bricks.
