No, don't look at the shadow. I didn't look at the shadow and I saw it. In fact before I saw it, I was looking at the shadow and I never saw it.

Here's a tip... look at the image spinning clockwise. Now, when the legs begin to converge, force yourself to imagine it spinning counterclockwise using minute head motions as an aid.

You have to follow the motion of the extended leg. And once you see it going the other direction, you can begin to look at the rest of the picture as it spins the other direction.

Let me know if that helped or not!
 
Like I said before switching the front/back passage of the leg works too.
 
I get it to spin the way I want to but...OH SHIT! I can't get it to spin the other way again! D:
 
It'd be awesome if you could see it going both ways at once.

Except that it's probably easier to divide by zero.
 
Bah, I was able to do it twice now I can't make the magic happen again. It spins too goddamn fast to concentrate on it D:

Somebody do me a favor. Since I don't have imageready currently installed, make me this gif with another instance beside it. I want to take Ennui up on his challenge(albeit different) and see if I can make the left side go one way, and the right side go the opposite. While looking at them both.
 
How i get her to change direction is by pointing my finger at her foot between her foot and the shadow, and if I want her to move CW, I move my finger to the right, dragging it, and if i want her to move CCW I move my finger to the left. Just keep going back an forth with it and she'll change. it's a matter of getting your mind to think a certain way.

Btw, I got the 2d thing, if you think about it, all it's really doing is going back an forth, facing her back to you. She's not really turning.

I think it's technically spinning clockwise.

Took me a while but I got it. It's freakin weird.

You gotta stare at the foot, then wait for it to point to the left side of the screen and then imagine it is coming towards you instead of away from you, and then VOILA WTF CHANGE DIRECTIONS.
 
I finally got it, and I can make it change direction at will.

I am awesome.
 
Funny, now when I look at it I am constantly seeing it switch direction when the extended foot reaches the sides. So it's going in like a 180 degree sweep back and forth, lol.
