How many DVDs do you own? I, and my family, own about 150 different movies on dvd.

I bought Donnie Darko on dvd today for 4 quid, i was watching it a week ago and the disc buggered up about and hour through it :|

What I'm curious about is something I read about recently. Apparently some DVDs suffer from DVD Rot... and there was me thinking DVD's were for archival in the long term.
 
There are still some awesome dvds out there that I have to buy.

Maybe for my birthday or christmas.
 
I have pretty much every Disney movie on VHS (for my little bro) and I only own about 5 DVD's as I rent them, not buy.

In most cases DVD's arent worth buying till the price drops to £7 per movie or £20/£30 per box set

yeah why do you lot buy so many dvds? there can't be that many good films out there. :p i generally only buy dvds that are worth owning.
 
Dedalus, do you smoke? Reason I ask is all your Kubrick covers are a mingin yellowy/white.

Oh, and you have all them defining films and mixed inbetween episodes 1 & 2, which both stand out like sore thumbs... shame on you!

i used to smoke weed in my room but that was ages ago. they're the old fashioned dvd boxes that open 'sideways' anyway.

i'm a star wars fan so shush!
