So, who else has this?

I haven't played much, yet I've played about 10 hours and I've only finished the 2nd dungeon(out of 9)

It's very good, it feels like a mix between wind waker and ocirana of time. It plays alot like wind waker, has the same sounds, and the same engine, but the art is very much like ocirana. The controls are wonderful, and aiming has become second nature.

I really dislike the twighlight though...I hate the art direction. I wish they would have stayed with the black-and-white thing they had going on. The light world, however is quite brilliant and there is fascinating art everywhere, in spite of its gamecubeish graphics.

Riding the horse is fun, and using all of the items on it is a breeze.

Not being able to call the horse from everywhere is very annoying, and the howling is much more difficult than using an ocirana.

The dungeons weren't all that hard, probably because I've only been in the first two. But the new eneimies and dungeon design was fantastic, and very immersive.

does anyone know how to melt the zora ice? I think I need blue fire...but I dont know where to find it.

SPOILER ALERRRRRRTTTTTTTTTT

I like how howling is a little harder since you have to remember a longer tune.

You'll get a horse call later. Also, remember that massive fire-stone that flew out of the volcano? That could melt a lot of ice :)

Why must i live in australia , i have to wait another 2 weeks before i can get Twilight Princess

So far i'm 20 hours in and have finished the third temple. I honestly am getting more enjoyment out of Twilight Princess than I did with Ocarina of Time, the games are similar but I just feel Twilight Princess is pretty much superior in every way.

I can't believe you don't like the art style of the twilight realm, I think it's absolutely gorgeous. I can understand if you don't like the gameplay while playing as the wolf though.

Anyways, the game is really epic in size, story, and atmosphere. The pacing of the game is great too, there are segments of fetch type missions mixed in with fun mini-games and many other things, not to mention there is always time to explore at your own pace.

My only complaint is the game isn't harder. Don't get me wrong it's definitely harder than Wind Waker and probably harder than Ocarina but I don't understand why im 20 hours into the game and i've only died three times. The bosses are way too easy as well once you figure out the gimmick to beating them, just give me a boss that I have to beat up to no end and he does the same to me.

If you couldn't tell, I recommend this game to everyone :)

Well I just beat it, final hour count around 45 hours.

I got all the heart pieces, all the golden bugs (24 of them), 42 poes (of 60 - guessing you get a bottle as a reward), all items and all item upgrades.

Disappointed in how easy it was. There are obviously multiple stages to the final boss, and one stage the attacks he did dealt 1 heart, another stage the attacks dealt 1/4 of a heart and so on. There were plenty of nearby hearts (and even FAIRIES!) in the area so I never had less than 18 hearts :( Starting to think it wouldn't be hard to beat the game with the original 3 hearts (barring a few certain optional parts in the game).

Watched my friend play it at his house, looked a bit boring, like a Gamecube game with a fancy 3rd party controller

Zelda isn't really a game you can watch someone else play. Well, alot of games aren't, but I'd say Zelda is something you really need to play yourself. I remember when one of my friends was watching me play some years ago and he said it was incredibly boring, but yet he loves the game something awful.

is it annoying anyone else that he keeps repeatedly spelling 'ocarina' as 'ocirana'?

Heh, probably because I've heard people pronounce it "Oh-Kir-Ah-Na" instead of "Oh-ka-re-na" Not often...but I have heard it.

it puts me off the wii that the games are so easy.. why not have difficulty levels? i know they're not exactly next gen, but they work! i honestly now think i'm gonna go for an xbox 360, the games are just more mature... and more of a challenge

but then mario, mariokart and smash bros. make it a hard choice.

It's nothing to do with the Wii. It's developers not making their games hard.

Orc-ah-reen-ah to me. Always.

THANK GOD I DON'T TAKE IT IN WHAT I READ!

I read the last lines and it went in but straight out, HARRAY!

but when ALL the devs do that it becomes about the wii.

Orc-ah-reen-ah to me. Always.

that's the correct pronounciation as according to the dictionary. only it think it's more accurate if you say 'or-kah-reen-ah' but i'm nit picking now.

Orc? There's not even an R after the O. Ocarina. Aw-kuh-rina

you don't understand, we were spelling it phonetically, (fonetics? phon? fon?) anyway... you can't have more than one syllable and no letters with two pronounciations. e.g. c, you use k or s instead. you is yoo, what is wot etc. orcarina is or-kah-reen-ah - there's only one way to pronounce that.

interestingly irish is a phonetically spelled language anyway.

.

in my accent what would be hwuht (I pronounce two h's..like hoo-wuht)

Anyway, I've gotten 5 more hours in, and I've discovered that the plot of this new zelda is much much deeper than before

SPOILERS
The new "triforce" movie was amazing, so artistic and so disturbing. I can't beleive nintendo is actually starting to give link alterior motives other than "save the princess for good!", he now wants the power of the triforce for himself. And now I finally understand what midna is going on about...if she gets the fused shadow she can be all-powerful.

That video was so freaky. I like how the plot is starting to expand.

Orca, Oca, Awkuh... I really don't care. S'just a game title to me. When I say it, people understand what I mean, and thats all that matters.

i know it's a gamecube port, but have they amped up the graphics at all for the wii?

Nope. Who cares? On the Wii it's heavens better to aim and just funner to control.

troof.

How come in this thread there are only 2 people discussing the actual game? :(

I know lots of you don't live in the US so the Wii isn't even out for you...but aren't there more US forumgoers that have TP?

EDIT:

Well easy difficulty is a problem that's been plaguing the entire gaming industry lately. Everybody has been going more and more mainstream with games and so games are getting too easy.

i know it's not very next-gen, but i personally think difficulty levels could work wonders for this problem.

I'm still confused as to how Play.co.uk have the GC version listed down as being released on the 8th, but that doesn't make sense as it's not being released to til the 15th everywhere else? I seriously hope they haven't messed up the titles and have got the Wii version down on both pages.

I really do hope it comes to me on the 8th as it's a birthday present for this week.
