I know you love blasting those movies so much that you just have to bring it up every chance you get (and it never gets tired because it's witty all the time every time), but you didn't actually type that with a straight face, did you? Or is your scale so clear-cut that you put everything you classify as shit into one big pile without distinction?

Because even at the chance to jump on a "HURR HURR TRANSFORMERS SUCKS" joke, that's a stretch, man.

Not even GI Joe looks as shitty as this movie, and that movie is going to be ten pounds of rank.

No actually I don't think it looks any more shit than GI Joe or Transformers 2 actually. Crap on a pretty similar level going by the trailers for all of them.

But you really think it looks so much worse? I fail to see how.

People on this forum simply cant enjoy fun movies i guess. Pop Corn flicks with friends is pretty much as good as it gets for a movie theater experience.

Transformers is one of the best movies to show off your system to, kickass sound and action packed. Part 2 even tho the trailer is shit looks to be the same fun.

GI Joe looks like its going to be insane. Pure ****ing explosions and action! Count me in.

Crank and Crank 2 are some of the funniest, craziest movies i have even seen. Thats the kind of movie actors signed up to have a blast making. As you can see in the out takes/bloopers of Crank 2.

FUN MOVIES arnt bad and if you cant sit down and enjoy an action movie with a few friends there is something horribly wrong with you...

I think maybe you've been hanging around the Transformers/GI Joe threads too much, because all that hate you throw out at them every day has skewed your perception. Now you can go ahead and call whatever movies you want to call "crap," call 'em crap, but if you ACTUALLY think that this movie is anywhere NEAR the same tier as those two, you've become blinded by your hate for those movies.

This movie is like...Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever bad.

I actually didn't think it was possible to produce a worse GI Joe movie than the direct-to-video animated feature in 1986. I thought that was just the pinnacle of bad franchise movies. And I saw the trailer for GI Joe and I'll tell you...if I actually gave two shits about GI Joe beyond Cobra Commander and Storm Shadow, I might've cried. That movie looks so goddamned shitty it's not even funny. Not as bad as GAMER, certainly, but pretty goddamned bad.

Just watch GI Joe Resolute instead. It actually has something to do with GI Joe, and not, y'know, Marlon Wayans in a robot suit.

The movie is being made for the pure action movie goers, I can tell you right now that not one single person that sees that trailer will give a shit that it's nothing like the GI Joe cartoons.

If you watch the GI Joe trailer and can tell me with a straight face that it doesn't look entertaining, there's something wrong with you.

Although, there is a very high probability that it's going to be torn to sheds by critics for having no story and for just being a 2 hour long (hopefully) nonstop action fest.

I don't hate Transformers, I just think it's looking like mediocre dross, pretty much how Gamer looks to be. Hate would imply I cared about it emotionally.
G.I. Joe I actually mostly ignore. How many posts have I made about it? Like two? Yeah, def hanging around there. I've posted far more about Terminator 4, which also looks like it'll turn out shit too, though hopefully not.

No, I think there's something wrong with you. The movie looks like complete and utter shit. And I've said before I don't care much at all for GI Joe, but even if I never heard of GI Joe I'd still say it looks like ass. It looks like the most generic of action films, the CG looks like shit, it's got a cast of lamers, and the only thing that remotely looks cool are Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, who will probably show up for like two seconds--which will, coincidentally, be the only entertaining two seconds of the movie.

I'm not going to be a hypocrite and say i don't get pissed when they **** up a franchise i care about but i have never watched or cared for GI Joe so this is simply a action movie to me. I do know your pain tho aka Max Payne...

a Fistful of Dollars is a "fun" movie that also happens to be a good movie despite being completely unrealistic and inpausible and in some ways very cheesy. Transformers is not a "fun" movie by any stretch of the imagination to anyone who has even a passing interest in film making or film as art. It's just soo hackneyed, contrived and obviously more of an excercise in product placement than a movie. By no stretch of the imagination is Michael Bay a good director. Now that doesnt mean you cant watch transformers and enjoy it ...but if you cant recognise it for what it is then you really have no business making judgement calls on any movie because you lack critical thinking

so I'm sorry but there's an element of truth to what eejit's saying

It isn't a "fun" movie if you're looking to dissect it for its artistic value, or the meaning behind it, or even to say, "Oh look at the way this shot was done, or this cut here, etc." If you have an interest in film making you're not going to point to Transformers or use Transformers as a guideline.

no, not at all. how you managed to pick this up is beyond me. I clearly said that you are allowed to like whatever the hell you want but if you cant look at a movie critically with an unbiased eye then you really have no business making judgement statements on films. So by all means like the transformers but when you argue that it's the best film ever made or that it stands up to citizen kane well then we have no choice but to question your opinion on EVERY movie
