First 1 computers were, celeron 466mhz, and 1.8gighz P4. Last 2 computers were, amd xp2200, and Athlon 64 3000. Have looked back, only to laugh at my intels. Amd 64 is hands down best cpus on market.

Ditto CPu and OC ASUS. But yeah, Stock usualy works fine. Depending how hard you push it. I do plan to upgrade HSF in a few months, once i decided to take my athlon64 3000, to 2.6gigz :D

Cheese, what res you use? Cause i got 5900xt, and it runs at 40 fps stock, 50 fps Overclocked. As for knowing FPS and etc, 50 fps looks better then the 12 you get! Owned, as my E-Penis Grows Larger.

From what i've seen x800 performs better as of right now. But people seem to forget, nvidia drivers are upgraded for all of there cards. So when new drivers come out, my 3 year old ti4200 still gets a performace boost. I think in a few months, through drivers alone the 6800 will pull ahead.

When you can let me know what country you live in, and how much your budget is. I'll spend 10 mins and find you the upgrades to fit your price range.

Ok, CPU we can live with, not to bad. You need at least 256megs more of ram, that'll run you 30-40$ Then you need a new video card, You can get a crappy budget card for 50-80$ US dollars. Or you can get a high end card, that normal people can afford. Like the nvidia 5900xt, or radeon...

You know, I'd Def look for a bios update for mobo. Your Temp sensor could be off. As for artic silver, its not conductive, but has capitance, like a capictor, not worse, not better :D Is ceramique like a glue? I've never used it, i'm an arctic silver 5 man.

Actualy, I can tell a huge loading difference in Battlefield, and windows. Not to noticable in any other game though. I have to western digitals, 80 gig 7200rpm, 8mb buffer. SATA in raid 0.

Stock 5900xt maybe. But you can overclock the 5900 to insane speeds :D Not to mention flash it to a 5950Ultra.

Your hard drive has data on it? I've never seen dynamic foreign disc, so I'm not sure what that is. I'm not sure which to choose, or even what they do. :|

What windows? The drive might not have a partion, If you have windows XP, go to control panel, turn on classic view, go to adminstative tools, computer managment, storage, disk managment. There you will see your harddrives, look for you new one, and see if it says healthy, unpartioned space...

My 5900xt runs CS:S on full settings, AA and AF at max, on 1024 res. At a steady 45 fps. No problems. No image problems ethier. On a second note, my Ti4200 also runs CS:S at 1024 with no AA or AF, and rest on max. Still looks decent, still get decent FPS. As for the 5700, You should have...

Video card is way more important. You could put a 5900xt in 1gighz duron and play source. trust me i know. But my athlon 64 3000, overclocked from 2gig to 2.4 Cant run source with a geforce 2. Geforce 2, and 1gig duron both about same age.
