I don't think this will work because I own HL1, DOD and CS although I've only paid for Half Life. So technically I'm not entitled to them in Source? That would piss many people off methinks.
Would be interesting to drive a buggy into the legs of a strider, than have it topple down onto you. Until you wheelspin off and hit a ramp, do a triple somersault turn and land on all 4 wheels starsky and hutch style, just as the belly of the strider crashes to the ground. :D
If they did this, then they would dominate the CS/DOD market because it will effectively force people to play them through Steam. Would seem like a smart move to me
Yeh hehe. I'd happily pay £25 for all the old stuff in source, but if it turns out it's like 14.99 for each mod I won't be bothering. Well, I'd probably get DOD.
:afro:
I thought it was quite funny when the guy in the E3 video says:
"Oh was it you knocking, I didn't even think we had a door"
Hehe, little things like that in games is what makes them worth playing, actually feels like a real world.
DOD attempts it, when you have to have more than 1 person to capture certain flags. And the level where you have to defend the fuel dump and the truck. If you don't, then the game doesn't last very long, so this forces people to work together.
CS though might aswell be called HLDM now...
Yeh I totally agree with this. Whilst I haven't really played NS, CS and DOD has just turned into what is on the whole a glorified deathmatch. The only real teamwork is in clan games, which kind of defeats the object of working in a team with complete strangers.
