really? my GF3 ti200 has been fine, even runs far cry well. Of course now that radion 9800 pros are down to 150 ill get one for HL2.

Porting is generally a waste of time and resources. Its makes more sense to make a full blown sequel or better yet a completly original idea.

It supports dynamic lights but it looks like most will be light maps. Doom3 is different, all lights are dynamic and the whole thing is unified, one system for everything (last time i checked).

oh, and another question: If you decide to see them, will you be happy with the first Shakey-Cam footage you can get your hands on or wait for the official bink videos (which could takes weeks to be release)?

I guess if the release date is push back to say winter or later i will probably cave in and see them, overwise ive seen enough to be satisfied.

I reckon there will be another version of HLDM and they will keep TF2 CS2 and DOD2 as standalone titles. I think they will let the mod teams do the rest :)

Gabe already said that the demo playback isnt perfect, so certain things are out of sync. This isnt true when your playing the game, only viewing a demo. They never expected people to analise the thing frame by frame.
