The makers of half-life 2 know whats best, I mean cmon, look at hl2! Valve would definitely know if they were screwing this up. Not a single person on this thread could ever cook up a plot as creative as half-life for a video game.

HL1 weapons reload wicked slow and look like sh** and arn't fun to shoot.

LOL, sometimes i just shoot at nothing because the weapons sound/look so freaken' cool, I love shooting the pistol, dont know how you can think that..

I think gordon talks but you just dont hear it during gameplay, notice in Blue-Shift Dr. Rossenburg asks you a question but you respond without hearing yourself.
