ok im about to release a map, and all i have to do is fix a water problem
my water goes thru a displacement, the displacment is closed, so there arent any leaks
under the water shows up fine, but the top looks like there is no water there at all
why dont you try to lighten your meathook entities? maybe they are too heavy and just keep swinging faster
or im just a complete idiot and that will never work
i also have another problem! i have gotten good at making water, but for some reason i cant make water that is placed through the ground of my map, for instance, i used a displacment to lower the center of my map, created a box with nodraw, placed my water texture, lod
_control, and my cubmaps...
ok..i used a displacement map and used the paint alpha on it, and when i run my map the texture that i placed with paint alpha does not show up! what am i doing wrong?
what is the effect of a player clip? i am asking this because i am using a fence to surround my css map and it is climbable but i dont want it to be

Run HL2DM go to your Video Options and select windowed on the right side also set your resolution size to whatever you want it but make it smaller than your monitors res. size
why is it that some water textures will look like crap and cause leaks, while others look great?
Sometimes I get good textures and sometimes I dont, even after I build the cubemaps and everything
you know what i heard that too Phisionary...and i never knew that the little circle thing is what makes you aqble to see the models...oh well im a newbie mapper
i am working on constrcting a team that will port old Halo maps from HaloPC, maybe even Halo 2, for play in HL2dm and CS:s. So far it is me and another mapper, i would like to find at least 1 or 2 reliable texturers, and another mapper
