    Limp Bizkit

That's exactly one of the stories I heard that made me dislike them. They'd also call off the audition whenever they felt like it, often screwing over people who had waited for hours.

    Limp Bizkit

I used to hate Bizkit, then I started to like them because of maturer stuff like Boiler. Then I heard story upon stopy about how Durst is a cock, and shit that the band pulled, so now I'm right back at hating.

Contact – Incredibly intelligent movie written by Carl Sagan. Religion vs. science at it’s best. Punch-Drunk Love – I felt so emotionally attached when watching this movie. For instance, when he gets in trouble for beating the shit out of the bathroom, you almost feel as in an awkward and...

    new custom pc

Make sure that 512MB of RAM is two 256MB sticks. If you only put one 512MB stick into your system, you'll be running in single channel mode, and the FSB will clock itself down.

    64 Bit

I'm confused why Munro edited my post? Ridic called the guy a loser, so I told Ridic not to be an asshole and asked where his thread on the same topic was. And to remain diligently on topic.. I've heard that the new Prescott core for the Pentium 4 will have 64-bit addressing. It would be...

    AMD 64 boards

Not much information has been released about Athlon64. AMD is being pretty tight lipped. I don't think anyone even knows what memory configuration will be used, what chipset, etc. nForce3 does come to mind though, but that may be Opteron.. You might want to keep Athlon64 in mind for a second...

Carmack - once and for all

Re: Re: Carmack - once and for all If we all follow this logic, then technically no one deserves any credit for anything, because someone else would have just made it later if the original person hadn't.

Half-Life 2 sound - do you think it will be high quality?

Valve has said a few times they have a very sophisticated sound engine, so hopefully this not only means high quality sounds, but proper sound placement. It’s a pain with MOD’s using the HL1 engine when you can’t tell if a player is above or below you with sound alone.

    AMD or INTEL

More optimized how? They’re both giving you the exact same performance, and are both the same prices. They’re just designed differently to give you their results. Example: I want to go from point A (house) to point B (gas station). I can either: 1. Take route 1, which is shorter, but has...

    AMD or INTEL

Athlon64 is NOT Opteron. Opteron is AMD's new server processor designed to compete with Intel's Xeon. No performance information has been released about Athlon64. Also, who cares if it's clocked only at 1.8GHz yet can compare with a much higher clocked Intel CPU. AMD themselves have made a...

    Wireless Networking

You need a wireless router, and then wireless NIC cards on all the computers you want running off of the wireless connection. Instead of the NIC however, you can use a wireless USB adapter, but it's not much more for the NIC card and you won't find your speed bottlenecked by the USB connection...

What gets lost with poorer hardware?

With your GeForce 4 being a DirectX 8 card, you'll get.. - Shadows with hard edges as opposed to soft ones you'd get with a DX9 card - Bump-mapping - Textures appearing in their proper resolution (512x512). You'd get 256x256 with DX6 & 7 cards. - Detailed props - Fresnal reflections...
