There has to be a happy medium. I agree with Valve that people don't want to see the same long cutscene over and over when starting a campaign from the begining but obviously a lot of us want more story.
Maybe Bill, Francis, and Zoey are racsits and they get to sleep because they are privelged white folk while Louis has to keep watch for zombies? HMMMMMMM? Maybe that is why Louis plays the race card when you shoot him "DO I LOOK LIKE ONE OF THEM?" Mmmm hmmm they think black people look like...
VS represents the best and worst of L4D.
Yesterday I swear every VS game I joined people on my team were griefing as a boomer. Either they would never spawn or they would spawn on a roof and not do anything. So the survivors moved through the maps with barely a horde to contend with.
And...
The game suffers from what CS:S suffered with when it first launched. Which is, limited # of maps.
The only time the game is boring for me is
#1- Teammates not using microphones or even typing - zzzzzzz
#2- Playing on easy or Normal difficulty is no challenge and ruins the atmosphere of the...
Fixed LOL
Seriously though what I would like is a campaign that starts with a finale right off the bat. As soon as the level starts you have to set up for a huge zombie fight. Then your crippled and bleeding butts need to be extra careful the rest of the map. That sounds fun and is a change...
Ahhh that makes sense. I was playing Dead Air last night and noticed we killed the two tanks at the end way too easy. I even checked difficulty and it said expert but I knew something wasn't right.
Don't approach COOP as your backup plan to a bad single player experience. Approach COOP as sharing a single player experience with friends. It is way better. This is only game I have ever played that even when the game is so unfair me and my friends laugh it off as we have to replay the level...
I beat No Mercy on advanced. We beat the countless waves of zombies. And two tanks.
Then the helicopter arrived on the far end of the roof. Apparently my other three teammates had played the map before as they were on the chopper the second it landed. I was still over by the mounted gun and...
The scare factor can only be temporary. But I did notice zombie bosses were a lot scarier in the woods than in the city because you can't see through the trees to where they are.
Playing with strangers is hit and miss. If you get some guys with mics that are there to have a good game it works well. However I have played with some peeps that never talked on mic or even typed. I had to keep checking to make sure they hadn't left the game and I was left with bots. That...
I love me some TF2. But a couple of things to note. I would have gladly payed $50 for TF2 alone. I have put 300 hours into that game and combine that with Portal and Ep2, it made the OB the deal of 2007.
I have the feeling L4D is going to have the same time return investment as TF2 has for...
IMO the only reason to buy Valve was to get early access to the demo, otherwise I would have waited to pick it up in a store first day one of them always has it for $10 less than retail on the day of release.
The day the demo was released I read (@ work) so many complaints about the demo being short, being too easy, ect
So when I got home I started on expert. I was not disapointed. It took 2 hours to beat the demo.
Starting on expert wouldn't be a bad thing- if anythingyyou will get a better...
I would say thanks for the Pro-tip. But even most n00bs don't go around deleting data on their computer. That is something the 'pros' do, but your pro action messed up your game. Hence the irony of me saying "thanks for the pro tip".
I kid. I kid.
I noticed the AI doesn't type words like "Hey n00b!" or "g4y" and they don't spam really crappy music of the mic. They also don't team kill.
So I am quite disappointed the AI is obviously not up to par with actual human behavoir.
That's a shame. So many people complaining about their severs not getting filled and the demo launch was the prime opportunity to get players first and potentially logged as their 'favorite'.
