You said you defragmented, have you also verified the cache files? Go to properties/local files when you right click on the game in steam. It's a long shot, but probably worth checking.

Glad to see OpenOffice has quite a good uptake on windows machines. Doesn't look like the same is true of VLC though. Also 63% of steam users have firefox. That's pretty amazing if you ask me.

Every cartoon I have ever seen taking on the evolution theme always seems to end up mirroring 'Inherit the Wind' some way or another. Good episode though, many laughs were had.
