PCI-E 2.0 can supply more power through the slot than PCI-E 1.0, but i believe the same still applies to high end cards that suck lots of juice, you still need the additional power connectors.
After playing a number more hours yesterday evening, i'm tending to sway towards the uzi, although i think it may be down to the different levels. The more open levels seem to benefit the uzi, as the accuracy and range of the shotgun renders it slightly useless in certain scenarios.
EA and Valve will **** you.

Dude !! Yes, it's meeeee !
:D
Those were the good old days mate, good times !
You're right, I don't really post a lot lately (although i never did post a large amount !) Although now that L4D is out and i'm looking for quality Halflife2.net peeps to...
There are definitely a few bugs in the game ! Last night we were playing a game, which was set up in a lobby as a campaign game. Part way through the game we get the message "you killed (insert name)" and we're like eh ? The game had randomly switched itself to versus and two people had joined...
Now, i haven't tried versus mode yet, but i get the feeling that it won't be as enjoyable as the campaign mode. It might sound weird, but i've got plenty of versus games from valve, and whilst i know this game is unique and very different in style to those, i just wonder whether i'll enjoy it as...
Ahh, that's cool to know. And yeah, I know that Antec have definitely produced some great PSU's over the years, so if they were manufactured by HEC then chances are their own units aren't too bad !
Have you sorted out the position the jumper needs to be in now ? As Pesmerga mentions, i'm not sure it does any damage if you just start it up with the jumper on clear accidentally. I've done it in the past without consequence. But that is not to say that will be the case for everyone i guess...
Bought the game yesterday, installed it and promptly sat down for 4 hours straight with some halflife2.netters (one of whom was Kadayi, a few posts above :D) and it was such a blast.
Once you pick up the most important do's and don'ts and start working as a solid unit then you can make pretty...
Well, i've never heard of that brand in my life, and the wattage rating is unfeasibly high for such a cheap PSU, so i'm going to say it's not a particularly good idea. Sometimes you can get away with running those PSU's if you are not drawing anywhere their maximum claimed wattage, but even then...
I agree with the comments above. Mighty impressive, but too expensive to be worthwhile right now. Once the prices come down, motherboards especially, they might be a consideration. I've been waiting to upgrade the core of my rig for a while, but i won't be paying 500-600 just for...
Well, a large proportion of my rig is actually coming up to 3 years old, yet surprisingly i should be able to play most coming games pretty well. Still on a socket 939 system, but i bought an X2 4200+ very cheap early in the year, which i overclocked to 3.0 ghz, and i sold my old 8800GTS 640mb...
