Looking over my dvd collection I noticed that most of the films I own were made in the seventies. Chinatown, The French Connection, Alien, The Godfather I and II, Deer Hunter, etc. etc. Why were so many great movies made in the seventies? any thoughts? EDIT: hmm actually at a closer look...
