Suppose most of you will be playing through the night but I have to be up at 5:30am PST.
Picking up HL2 at EB tommorow morning at 10am on my coffee break and won't get to play it until 6pm. Doubt I'll be back on the forums until after I've finished the game or unless I'm really stuck on...
As much as I can appreciate motivational theme soundtrack type music etc.
You realize the time it takes to get the song going is time you could be spending installing the game instead.
Oh just for fun...
(Duncan Sheik) - Half life.mp3
(Sneaker Pimps) - Half life.mp3
(Local H) - Half life.mp3
:P
(Actually the Sneaker Pimps song I could picture as a closing credits song in a Half-Life movie.)

The Vader suit looks wimpy and empty because it's actually Haydon in there and not the 7' tall (or whatever) David Prowse. I agree something looks a little off though. I think it's the lighting. Usually Vader was seen in much darker or high contrast environments. He looked grey instead of black.
I want to make an animation from an.MOV but have never been able to figure out a way to extract frames or make screenshots from a video window. (The video area is always blank when I try.)
Anyone know of a free program that could help in some way?
Usually pressing "Prt Scr" takes a screenshot of the desktop and copies it to the clipboard but I've noticed on my new system, it doesn't seem to work anymore.
Anyone have any idea why it might not be working?
I have a dual monitor setup in case that has something to do with it.
OMG. The chills down my back when I heard...
And the subsequent image.
OMG
Words can't desccribe how it makes me feel to see one of my most cherished childhood stories come full circle like this.
Ok according to EB when i asked today. They will have the collectors ed. on the 16th priced at $100+ CAD
and the normal ed. on the 17th.
Personally, I'm like... "wtf?!"
(I think their heads are imbedded in their rectums.)
Although it does sound like a nice scheme on EB's part to maximize...
I didn't realize you'd still get the extras sent to ou if you ordered it on Steam. Hmmm.
I'd still rather have the physical box and CD though.
I asked at the EB @ Lougheed Mall and they said they'd have it on the 17th. Maybe it's just them though. I'll try Metrotown and Richmond locations...
