Well they can't release it if it isn't done yet, now can they? And judging by the latest beta, it most certainly isn't.
Ah well, hoping for the best :)
Man, it would hilarious if the guy is actually right. If I was him, I would so come to this forum and rub everyone's face in it. You wouldn't hear the end of it
Heh, you guys won't believe HL2 is delayed until 23:59 on September 30th. Wake the hell up, it's not coming, I want to play it just as much as the next guy, but you're just setting yourselves up for a major dissapointment come September 30th. Valve will, as usual, say nothing, and there will be...
Of course it won't run well, duh... You need at least 3 GB of DDRAM to even launch the game, not to mention a quad-Radeon 9800 to show the menu graphics.
I'm pretty sure most people don't even think of getting a Radeon 9800 or the nVidia equivalent at this point. You have to realise the vast majority of gamers worldwide DON'T have the resources or will to get all the lates and greatest. They know just as well as Valve does that you don't *need*...
I'm not sure I understand your explanation...
First, Valve said the entire game will be based on earth. Second, they already said City 17 is just a generic European city, so they don't need to localize it anyway.
It's just too far fetched, all this 'other dimension' business, it's just...
I'm sticking with nVidia. I'm going for reliability: check out any tech support for any game: 80% of the people having problems are using ATi cards, sad but true.
OTOH, if you like ATi and have no problems using it, I'm happy for you ;)
It doesn't matter whether I downloaded the file or not: the FACT is, that Steam takes up WAY more room than it should. I don't play any MP games, I only wanted to use Steam for the movies, so why should the program take up so much damn space?
Like I said in an earlier thread, I don't...
