The thing with the payment for mods (or "standalone games", lol) is, that we had quality mods for HL1 we didn't have to pay for (at least I'm assuming this - I'm a mp-gamer, so didn't play any sp-mods for HL1). If it wasn't for Steam, I think such mods would be free, or they would go retail...

slaze, you probably bought the retail game, did you? the bronze, silver and gold packages are only available via internet from steam. the retail one that you buy in stores corresponds to the bronze steam version, including hl2 and cs:s.

i heard some rumours about hl3 that it will be the sequel to hl2. (plz excuse my lame joke, it's 2 in the morning and my heads nearly falling off)

I don't think this refers to DoD:Source, but instead to the variety of mods currently in development by the community... :upstare:

with 1GHz, I doubt HL2 will run on your machine :/ the new graphics card seems to be pretty okay, but i think you also need more ram.. and, besides, what windows version are you using?

oh wow, this will be one hell of a mod :D hope it gets as good as sc for hl1

I played it with a friend, and I think it shure will be a lot of fun with more players. But right now, there are only few servers running it, and all with ping 400+ ;(. Nevertheless, keep up the good work. Hope you'll do more great maps for HL2DM :thumbs:
