I would rather go with a 3000+ and spend more money on other parts. The 3000 and 3500 use the same core, my friends have gotten their core speed over 2.6 ghz with a little tweaking. The newer revision should make it easier to tweak ram speeds. Good overclocking ram is a good investment.
Stock linksys firmware isn't too great, a lot of people i know have had lots of connection problems. But if you get a wrt54g or 54gs, you can get 3rd party firmware and do all kinds of things, boost the signal strenght play around with the linux shell etc. These routers aren't too expensive...
All plastic standoffs are cheapo shitty ones. :farmer:, you must have shit hardware.:rolling: Also, brass standoffs dont cause any grounding problems, they are easier to take off, and you'll see that many people do not reccomend the plastic variety.
Who uses plastic standoffs? They break so easily, especially when you have heavy hardware. My friend used plastic standoffs and his mobo fell off when he turned on his computer.
The real world bandwidth on those is really only around 22mbps. Pre-n routers have a lot more bandwidth than that, though they dont get near their advertised speeds.
CRTs are too heavy, they take up too much space, and the colors aren't as nice as a good lcd. But what you want to look for in an lcd tv is if it can produce good blacks. That's why i'm waiting for oleds.
