What exactly do you think would give people reason to care about your mod when you don't care enough about it to proof read and re-proof read your descriptions when asking for help? If you can't even take a few minutes to do that, there's no reason for anyone to think that you'll put in the...
Most people use either Adobe Photoshop or Corel Painter for their digital work. Photoshop is the more popular program because of its powerful image editing tools, but for the serious digital artist not much of anything can compete with Painter. Photoshop was designed as an image editing tool...
I hate to burst anyone's bubble, but only 1 of those is anywhere near "unique", and it's only because most games have no reason to spend the time implimenting a complex damage system.
Complex story - numerous other games. Max Payne, GTA series, etc.
Realistic AI - Half-Life2, Farcry, etc...
The good ones. No offense.
Anyway, good luck. I don't really recommend trying to recruit without anything to show for it, but oh well. You've at least got a professional tone.
If you're really serious you'll want to get a website of some kind up soon, with a full domain (www.yourgame.com). Most mods do fail, and people are looking for a serious dedicated team if they're going to join a project. Having a full domain for your website shows that you're serious about...
That would be the "basic knowledge" part. I don't really think it's any more likely that a coder would know how much effort goes into a map, or a piece of 2D art than anybody else who is not a mapper or a 2D artist.
The fact is that the majority of people are not good leaders. They think...
Nah, you shouldn't pick a team leader based on what position they have on the team. If the mod is single player and story based, then a story writer could definately make a good mod leader. Good organizational skills, better communcation skills, at least a basic understanding of every aspect...
Shredded-Turf is looking for another concept artist, and we could probalby make use of your sound editing talents as well.
Shredded-Turf is an arcade-style lawn mower racing mod. Players will be able to choose from multiple different styles of racing mowers before the race, each with unique...
So what you're saying is that you want to remake CS 1.6 and also take the time to intentionally make the graphics worse, because that somehow adds something to the game.
You're also saying that the "1337" players don't play CS for the graphics, but they will play your version because it has...
The cliffs in the foreground are pretty good, but the background is a little muddy and unrefined. Also, the color on the ones in the background doesn't look washed out enough. grey out the color on them a little and it will give the image a bit more depth.
That last one is pretty good. Excellent style. There are still a few minor problems with the face and hand (more so with the hand). The thumb should come down a little be farther, unless he's making a fist with his fingers around his thumb. When the fist is clenched the thumb's 3rd joint...
Thanks for the compliments.
If the site makes your browser crash then it must be on your end, because I use firefox to visit the site everyday and it's never crashed for me.
That particular figure looks a bit odd because his nipples are placed a little too high. If you want to make a figure that looks heroic or just larger-than-life, draw them 9 heads tall and about 2 2/3 heads wide at the shoulders. Like the figure seen on the right here.
Heroic proportions
Cool. Can't wait to see the rest of the creature. Sorta looks like something from WarCraft. Like an orc and a tauren got a little too friendly with each other and that is their love child.
Scientificly beauty is best described as the display of excellent health. Whites of the eyes should be bright and not dull or yellowed, skin is evenly toned and elastic, hair is thick, etc. Symmetry is also considered beutiful by humans, whether they consciously think about it or not. If you...
I think your shading values are well done, especially on the shoes. You still need to work on perspective though. That just takes time and a lot of practice so keep it up. :)
@-rawspit-
You should work on your perspective and practice drawing heads and hands a bit more. The human head is one of the most difficult things to draw well. Not because it's complex, but because people are trained to notice very tiny inconsitancies in faces because that's how we...
