When I first saw them I thought WTF, I even thought for a moment it was a caused by a new sort of spyware. I don't like it, but I'm used to it now. And it keeps this site alive.
And this way of adverts is better IMO than the methods other sites use, for example Fileplanet has those fullscreen...
I just finished the game, 11 days after I bought it. It was because of school that it took so long and because I like to explore every part of the level and expiriment with the physics, so I think I took 25 hours to complete it (and I'm happy because I can finally look in this section of the forum).
I just completed the game a few minutes ago so I can finally make a proper (but still very hard) decision :). The levels I liked the most where:
- Ravenholm because of the creepyness and the ability to use those traps.
- From the beginning to Black Mesa East because of the atmosphere.
- Our...
Of course I knew that, but it's still cool because Maya and 3D Studio MAX aren't what you call affordable for most people, but Toxic is for free. But I think in ten years games can look like this too. But Unreal Engine 3 is planned too be available in two or three years, and that's why it has to...
They don't add much too the fps genre but with RTS games it's very cool. Homeworld 2 supports multiple monitors so you can use one to zoom in on the action and the other to keep a good overview on the whole thing.
A few weeks ago I've read a review of a triplesight monitor. I don't remember its name but it's just like this doublesight monitor but with 3 lcd displays of course. So you don't have to bother about the crosshair because it's nice in the center of the middle display. But I think you would need...
Good first post Enyx ;), hopefully we will have soft shadows in a few years. And I think we will have that. The soft shadows in the Unreal Engine 3 looked very realistic. I think they were rendered with some tricks to keep the fps reasonable with a small loss of realism but it looks much better...
I want to check it too, but I don't do tat because I haven't finished it yet (that's not because I'm not good at fps games but I'm very busy atm with school :( ). And I don't check it because I think it contains spoilers :P. I don't even wanna know how many levels it has exactly, but I know I'm...
Yeah that would be cool. But I don't think companies like EA want to depend that much on other companies. I think they will develop their own Steam or they will buy it from Valve.
If they are just like Steam and we don't get bugs like we had with the release of HL2 I don't find it bad. And you shoould be able to close a program when you want it, not that it must be running in the background even if you don't want to play it. Because it would really slow your computer down...
I think it will run on your pc, in the NVidea 6xxx and ATI Xxxx there isn't a big performance difference between ATI and NVidea. Here you can find benchmark results which show that HL2 runs just as good on the highend NVidea cards as on its highend ATI counterpart.
I hope it's HLDM! I think I've almost completed singleplayer and there aren't any mods out. So I don't know what to do. But with HL2DM I will have to do something until the mods come out, and even when there are already a lot of fantastic mods released I will still play HL2DM a few times a week...
GG Valve.
I like it because I want that Valve can develop HL3 and because I've paid my hardearned money to play this game, and it would be unfair if someone else can play for free. I have too admit I download some wharez too but that's because I'm not sure I really like the game, and if I...
They have 11 1/2 hours too release it before it's too late! Otherwise we will have too wait another day. But I'm already getting used too the stuttering, but it would be nice if I can get the patch before I finish the singleplayer, and I'm already at one of the last levels :D
My parents don't know anything about computers. My mother has never used one and my father only uses it too type text documents. But he only knows how to save in Word, and even with that I have too help him.
