x800 XL is coming out this month, as annouced by ATI. They will run about $299 american. They have the x850 core on a .11nm process, not the .13. Should be decent OCers, and are already faster then an x800 pro which is $100 more. Wait a little while and get the x800 XL, itll beat anything in...

I think Im gonna get one since its cheaper then the x800 pro AND its based...
look at your mobo manual, should tell you guys everything you need to know in there. Also, you dont need a dual channel kit of RAM to have dual chan running, just 2 sticks of RAM.
my cpu wont OC, at all. I hate it. I have an A64 3000+ NewCastle and anytime I OC it like 50 more MHz it wont boot fully. It starts loading windows and freezes. Then I have to reboot and hope it starts up, and jump into my bios if it lets me and change it back before I kill it or something. It...

VIEWSONIC G90FB 19IN
Max res of 1600x1200 at 77Hz, which I consider flicker free.
Also it has a pretty good dot pitch. Im gonna buy this monitor in a week or two.
All suggestions so far seem to take care of everything. Just wanted to let you know that I own that same case and Im quite pleased with it. Id buy 2 more 80mm fans, and 1 120mm for it, to fill up all the fan slots though, just for good cooling purposes like I did. Its pretty cheap. Also...
looks pretty good, though Id prolly go with 100GB HDD and put a bit more mmoney into the RAM. Does she really need 200GB?? Rest is good, but Im gonna reccomend a AMD system rather then P4 just because I think you better better bang for your buck with any AMD line.
The kind your looking at the Small Form Factor, not micro-ATX, micro-ATX is a smaller version of mid-ATX. A small form-factor PC is not always the way to go, as only a few components can be added on inside. Enthusiasts are also aware of potential heat problems caused by computing-intensive...
ya, youd prolly get a decent boost. But if your mobo only supports PC2100 then your processor is prolly slow too. You might wanna consider saving for a while and buying a new setup (mobo, RAM, CPU, Vid card maybe too) Just something to think about.
ya, there are special drivers for laptops, there are there somewhere Im pretty sure. My Buddya has a latop with a 9000 in it and we I updated his drivers for him a few months ago.
