oh, come on. that must be one lame joke. the pre-load is maybe one third of the game, and you seriously think anyone could hack it and play the complete hl2? tss.
hl2 itself will be around 3 gb big, and you seriously want to tell me that i'll have to download 2-3 gb extra, just for being able to play it in the internet? that doesnt seem very credent to me.
of course you'll be able to play hl2 retail over steam, thats the idea. downloading it via steam is just a second way to purchase it, instead of going to a store. you know?
if youre going to buy it retail, its no use downloading this pre-load stuff.

no-one knows what's included in the files you downloaded. who knows. its very likely that you've downloaded the misc-stuff for hl2, and of course a lot of these things are going to be changed these days.

this is very interesting. everybody's flipping out for no reason heh ;) well, yes, it definitely is a good sign that hl2 is available for preload, because this means hl2 will be released this year. maybe next month? who knows.

basically yes, i like the skin, its very well fragmented for the different sections. but you should remove that 'disco-strider' image in the head, thats looks crappy.
anyways, i'd slightly prefer the actual skin.
