See, I honestly don't think that HL2 is going to have MP in the sense that we are used to. Instead, it will have an MP comprised of the HL1 mp ports, TF2, etc, etc. And I think Valve is going to maybe stick it to us price wise in order to play all of these.
That is what I was saying.
I am just afraid they are going to screw us over and charge a pretty penny for all the 'different' mp games.
I think we are all going to wish for the day when HL was released, and we got a whole lot of high quality, free, mods.
Deus Ex II - Horrible textures for requirements...more constrained levels than first deus ex
Thief 3 - Smaller levels due to lower ram on Xbox...lower res textures
Halo - Horrible performance on even high end systems
I haven't read the whole thread, but if you seriously expect the physics engine to exist without breakpoints - with regards to buildings no less - then you are on some pretty strong drugs.
There is no way the engine could handle, with realistic physics like we have seen, the destruction of...
lol
I completely missed that.
My bad, and apologies to the original poster. I scan various forums a lot, and I sometimes mixup what is a sig, and what is still in a message body.
The thing people are forgetting is that you can turn Source down to HL1-era graphics (look at the mag screenies if you doubt me), and then you can run it on a fairly low-end system.
Well, I just finished the FP 600 meg clip, and it is everything I hoped it would be.
The graphics looked really nice, no more low-res junk, and I swore I saw lots of DX8 (or is it 9?) PS surfaces.
4 minutes until I am viewing this bad boy....woohoo!
BTW, if I have time, and someone has webspace, lemme know and I will try to upload to spread the love.
