Make sure your motherboard drivers are installed, it's easy to forget to do that if you reformat and that will stop you from using AGP.
Update your drivers.
Other than that I don't know what to say, you should be getting better performance than that, I think.
Why would you care about something that is so incredibly hard to notice, especially when you're in first person and a fair amount of the gun can't be seen?
I really hope we see some good Doom 3 mods, the engine has so much potential.
Yeah, I tried mapping for it a little and just got way too confused and put it down out of frustration. I never planned on modding Doom 3, but I really hope it doesn't get left in the dust.
Hammer can edit .mdls? I thought it could only edit BSPs?
One feature of .mdls makes it worth it alone, and that's LODing. BSPs don't LOD, so if you want to put detailed objects in your map, but not have it hinder the performance when you use a lot of them, MDLs are FAR superior.
Although, if you really wanted to do it, you could use a spline in conjunction with TriAPI, and do the math yourself. Since it's a curve, it would allow you to get infinitely close, and LOD it dynamically.
Why do you want to render splines?
Right now, I have an A64 3000+ on an MSI K8T Neo, with 512 mb pc2100 RAM, and a 128mb R9800 pro (not SE). I was wondering how much of a performance increase I would notice if I switched to 512 mb PC3200, or faster, RAM? Does anyone have any experience with this?
The GW E3 thing ruled. Playing a monk was unbelievably fun, trying to keep my team alive. We made it to the treasure room even, and we won like 7 times in the PvP arena until we started losing team mates to real life stuff. It was definately more fun than Everquest.
I haven't played WoW yet...
